Toni's Pov:
I just sat there, playing with Cheryl's soft red locks as she was smiling at me.
"You like my hair alot huh" she smiled and nudged my shoulder.
I nodded and keep playing with her hair.
"You think we should get to class Toni"?
I nodded because I didnt want her to get in trouble for skipping class.
"What's your next class Toni"?
"English with Betty"
"I have science"
"See you at lunch"? She asked.
I nodded and hugged her.
We both left the bathroom and said goodbyes.
I walked to my first class to get my backpack but the teacher stopped me.
"Antoinette, why did you Sprint off when I didn't dismiss you!" The teacher yelled.
"B-Boy tripped me" I struggled to get out.
She gave me a look.
"Stop giving excuses! You will have detention today and tomorrow Antoinette"!
After that I just grabbed my bag and walked out of there.
I had detention for no reason this is ridiculous.
I sprinted to Betty who was at her locker and clung onto her.
"Hey Toni" she smiled and ran her hand through my hair.
"Hi" I said lowly.
"What's wrong tones"?
"Teacher gave detention".
"What?! Why?" Betty asked getting mad.
"I ran out of classroom cus Archie tripped me".
Betty sighed "Did you get hurt"?
"Ya".
"Where Toni" Betty asked concerned.
I pointed to the little cut on my head.
"Oh Toni" Betty sighed.
She pulled a bandaid out of her locker and out it on my cut.
"I met a girl" I said quickly.
"Oh really" Betty smiled.
"Ya her name Cheryl".
"Is she nice"?
"Yes and her hair is soft" I said smiling.
"I think you have a crush Toni" Betty smiled and pulled her books out of her locker.
"I do not"! I said as my face started heating up.
"The look on your face says other wise".
I just rolled my eyes.
"Let's get to class Betty*.
With that we both walked to class.
When I'm with Betty nobody messes with me because there scared of her after what she did to Evelyn a few weeks ago.

Toni's Pov still:
It's lunch and I'm waiting for Cheryl and Betty to get outside.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Cheryl storm outside like she was mad.
I walked up to her and she gave me a small smile.
"Hey" I said looking into her eyes.
"Hi" she said in a low muffled tone.
"What happened"?
"I have detention for cussing Archie out".
I just looked at her wide eyed, she seemed so soft I didn't know she was capable of cussing someone out .
"I have detention" I said lowly.
"Why"? She walked closer to me.
"I ran out of classroom without permission and when I got back teacher yelled" I looked down.
"Hey". She said softly and grabbed my hand.
I just looked into her eyes my eyes filling with tears, I had never gotten detention before.
I guess she could see my tears so she led me to the bathroom.
When we got in she locked the door behind her.
"Come here Toni" she said, her arms wide open.
I rushed into her arms and just started sobbing.
Adults are so mean.
"Shhhh it's ok Toni" she said running her hand through my hair.
It was so soothing I calmed down pretty fast.
After I calmed down she took my hand and led me to the mirror.
"Look at yourself Toni, your so strong and brave, it's not your fault the teacher wants to be a jackass about everything. On the positive we have detention together". She shot me a smile through the mirror.
