"Kahan le ja rahe hai aap mujhe?", Anu asked as she walked blindfolded. Anuj held her hand and carefully led her on. She was wearing a salwar kameez while anuj wore his overly bright "goa" t - shirt. "It's a surprize.", He replied. "Uff.. Yahan mujhe Baa Bapuji ko phone karna hai aur aap ke surprizes khatam nehi hote.", She said, although she tried very hard to sound annoyed Anuj knew she liked it. "Dekho, ab tumhara bholu ram itna bhi bhola hai nehi ki kuch na samjhe.", He said. "Kya na samjhe?" "Yehi ki tum kya chahti ho.." "Aur mai kya chahti hu?", She asked trying very hard to sound annoyed.
He carefully opened her blindfold. They were on a beach, there was a beautifully laid table as the sun set on the sea, behind it. There was a candle lit on the middle of the table, plates laid, and a beautiful ambience.
"Yeh mere liye?", Anu asked softly, pleasantly shocked. "Nehi abhi samundar se jalpari niklegi, uske liye.", Anuj said sarcastically grinning. She punched him softly on his arm. "Ow..", He said dramatically and then walked up before her. "Chahe aaj jo bhi ho jaye.. Humara romantic date toh hoke rahega.", He said, placing his hand before her for her to take.
She smiled, blinking off her tears of joy. She was still getting habituated to his surprises of love. She took his hand as they walked down to the table. He pulled her chair for her as she took a seat. He sat opposite her.
A private butler walked down to them to take the order. Anuj let Anu order for both of them. And they started eating.
You must be thinking, aww finally they are going to get the date they deserve? NAH..
"THERE IS A COCKROACH!", Anu instantly recognized the panicking voice. She drew in a sharp breath and turned to her right. There was another table which had been kept casually, and was now half way across the beach. "LAMBU SHAH! SHUT UP!", Devika shouted at him.
"Oh.. don't tell me.", Anuj said irritably. "THERE IS A COCKROACH! COCKROACH-" "RAJ IT'S OKAY! SEE I AM KILLING IT!", Saying so Malvika, who was supposedly also under the table with the other two, opened her slipper and buried the micro size cockroach in the sand.
"IDIOT!", Devika shouted at Vanraj.
"Hello guys.", Anuj said with a fake smile. He had prepared whole 15 pages of love confession (for the 234th time in his whole life) and yet again it was going to be wasted.
"MISTER SHAH APKO KABHI KOI KAAM DHANDA HOTA HAI KI NEHI?!", This time Anu shouted. After all she had prepared 16 pages of shayri after learning urdu and now she would have to wait again to say it!
"Oh.", Vanraj mumbled awkwardly. "Anu, bas ijazat de do aaj, main aur Devika aaj iska murder kar hi dete hai.", Anuj said irritably. "Aacha? Devika?", Anu asked with a raised brow as Devika stood up dusting her clothes, looking down. "Woh Anu.. aisa humara koi plan tha nehi.. matlab..", Devika mumbled. Malvika joined in, "Matlab woh.. humein dekhna tha ki aise dates kaise hote hai.." "Ha!", Devika said (obviously lying), "Woh humari life mei toh romance raha nehi toh tera dekhke khush hone aaye the.."
Anu smiled irritably, "Aacha?" Then she looked at Vanraj, "Aur aap yaha kirtan karne aaye the? Kyuki aapki zindagi ka romance ko khatam waise bhi nehi hota." "Nehi.. matlab.. woh kabtak Arijit Singh sukar rooyunga.. socha aaj thoda tum dono ko hi dekhlu.."
Anuj smirked, "Rounga Vanraj ya foreign ladkiyon ko tarunga?" "Anuj! Mazak nehi.", Anu said angrily as Anuj placed a finger on his lips. Anu crossed her hands before her. "Aap theeno agar yaha phir humare beech mei dikhe toh dekh lijiyega. Teeno ko pack karke wapas Ahmedabad export kar dungi.", Anu said angrily.
"Anu Ravanraj ko please Sri Lanka bhejna.", Devika piped in. "Point.", Anuj said grinning. "Aapke inko laane ke wajah se hi yeh sab ho raha hai. Pakka yeh saara idea Mister Shah ka hi hoga.", Anu said eyeing him with anger.
"Main kyu blame ho raha hu? Agar mai nehi uthta toh tum dono ko pata bhi nehi chalta.", Vanraj said, annoyed. "Pata hai kya? Anuj apko ijazat hai. Aap aur Devika ko jo karna hai kariye.", Anu said exasperated as she sat back on her seat.
"Nehi! Main Vanraj Shah hu-" "Ha toh?", Anu asked instantly, "Bohot badi tope hai? Badshah hai? Rore-pati.", Anu stated coldly.
Anuj lowkey enjoyed Anu insulting Vanraj (like the rest of the universe).
"Waise, Anuj mere paas ek idea hai.", Devika said looking at Vanraj. "Ab date toh kharab ho hi gaya toh.. chalo na.. kuch karte hi hai ab.", Anuj said rubbing his hands.
Anu looked at him with a raised brow. "Stress na lo Anu.", He said with a wink.
