~Morning comes again~
At the breakfast table the next morning, Mayu finished her food faster than usual. Her sister Lizzie had ran out earlier to go play, but she stayed put.
Today, just like her moms promised. Cove was coming over to hang out!
"Excited to see your new friend again, Mayu?" Mom asked her.
"Yes! I am!"
Mayu smiled at her Mom."How sweet! I'm so happy he moved in!" Mommy cooed.
"With that said, are you dont with your breakfast?" Mom asked.
Mayu's bowl was entirely empty, so she nodded.
"Mhm! All done." Mayu smiled."Good job! He should be here soon." Mom replied.
After they were all cleaned up, there was a knock on the front door.
"We need to get a more obvious doorbell." Mommy spoke out loud. "I know, I know" Mom responded to Mommy.
"Mayu? Could you open the door?"
Mom asked.Mayu got out of her chair and walked over to the front door. She opened the door and there was Cove and his Dad.
"Hey, Martinez family! Thanks for having us!"
Cove's dad greeted them.
Cove looked different to Mayu, not in a bad way, but it was different seeing him in bright lighting. And he wasn't crying.
Pleased to see her new friend, Mayu smiled at Cove.
With a little bit of hesitation, Cove smiled back at Mayu.
Mayu twisted at the crystal bracelet on her wrist.
"Let's go play in my room!" Mayu spoke her idea. "Okay.." Cove nodded.
"Let us know if you need anything, you two!" Mommy told the kids before they were gonna go upstairs. "Have fun!" Mom smiled.
"See you later son! Play nice." Cove's Dad told Cove.
Mayu led Cove to her room. There were lost of stuffed animals, a cool bed, and a window to look out of.
It was a great room, Mayu thought. She hadn't had anyone to show it off too, but she was still really proud of it.
Cove was observing the drawings that were on the walls. "I like this." He told Mayu.
