" Life Changes " .

Chapter 12

I woke up at 10 in the morning & I can't even sleep anymore.. Steeven is still sleeping . I grabbed my phone, it was on the wooden commode next to the bed . There was a whatsapp message from Mark saying ' Good morning Alice ' . It was from 15 minutes ago . I texted him back .. ' Good morning' & he turned online.

Mark: " How did you sleep?"

Alice: " Well.."

Mark: " Any plans for today?"

Alice: " I'm going to the church again today, There's a choir from 2 till 4:30 .. Any plans ??"

Mark:  " I don't know, there's no plans in my mind.. Are you going to school tomorrow?"

Alice: " Yeah"

Mark: " Me too, Well.. I got to go now, going to buy some school books from the library .. Talk to you later "

Alice: " Okay , bye "

I watched T.V. in my room, Untill it was 1 , Steeven woke up & left the room .. Bri texted me, telling me that we'll meet at the church.

I got ready & went downstairs.

" Good afternoon aunt " I said.

" Good afternoon Alice" My aunt said . " Are you going to the choir?"

" yeah , I'm going now!" I said.

" Well, Calum is sleeping , I'm sorry, he can't drive you " She said.

" It's okay, I'm going by a taxi " I said

" Okay, here's a sandwich & a smoothie for you& have a great day " She said.

" Thanks. Bye " I said

I attended the choir. The choir's leader wanted a solo, she has found that my voice is so nice so she chose me to ' Joy to the world' Christmas Carol.

I was nervous & shy but very happy.

I practiced it hardly. I have to be strong .

I'm going to be a solo on Christmas eve Choir & it's going to be live on T.V. on different channels & also on Youtube.

After we had finished, Bri & Chloe invited me to have lunch with them at Bri's house ,but I didn't want to.

I went out of the church.. While I was walking trying to find a Taxi, I found Mark.

" Hey Alice" He said.

" oh! Hey .. Do you live near hear?" I asked.

" Yes, I live there" He said pointing to his house.. His house is like the 10th one from the church.

" That's cool.. I have just finished the choir & was about to go home" I said.

" Are you busy ?" He asked .

" No, why?" I said.

" Nothing, Do you fancy having lunch w-with me ?" He asked.

" Umm.. Okay , why not?. " I said smiling.

" And maybe going shopping together after lunch " He said.

" Sounds great " I said.

This is kinda a date with Mark. I'm so excited to go out with him.

After we had eaten, my aunt phoned me. I told her that I'm out with Mark & I'll be back after an hour.

Mark & I went shopping. Mark & I bought 2 t-shirts & a jeans. And I bought a cardigan , printed skirt , black crop top & a high heel sandal.

When I was at home, There was someone knocking on the room door. It was Calum. He looked sad & his eyes were a bit red as if he was crying.

I asked him what's wrong but he didn't answer.

I asked him again & this time he answered saying that he was over thinking of something that made him sad but he didn't want to talk about it .. I hugged him to comfort him.. Then he went to his room  to sleep.

I tried to sleep but I was mad thinking why was Calum unhappy.
