"Are you sure about this?" you asked Melina as she prepared the table. She wanted you to meet her daughters, although they weren't actually related, they were still family. To say you were nervous was an understatement. Your anxiety was going through the roof, Melina did tell you that Yelena and Natasha could be overprotective at times.

As you were stuck in your thoughts, you felt a warm hand on your thigh. You blinked and looked down, seeing the hand belonged to Melina. You relaxed a bit but that didn't help.

"Relax darling, this will all go just fine I promise.", she said as she kissed your cheek. You nodded your head, taking her words in. That's when you heard a knock on the door. You swallowed hard, and Melina got up from beside you to go answer it.

Standing there were Natasha and Yelena, as you expected. You quickly sat at the table as they both walked in. While they came to sit at the table, you tried to make as least eye contact as possible. It may have been considered rude, but you were too nervous to worry about that.

Melina cleared her throat and looked at you with a slight stern look. "Girls, this is y/n, my partner." Melina announced. You looked up and said a small "hello", before looking back in Melina's direction.

Natasha looked at you strangely and Yelena just had a blank face. You noticed this even while not looking at them. They probably thought you were a weirdo or something.

There was an awkward silence before Yelena asked, "So, what do you want from our Mother". You were taken aback, "Excuse me?" you asked softly. "I said what do you want from our mother, why are you with her?" she repeated.

"There's nothing I want from her, she's a very caring and loving woman." you said, Yelena didn't look that amused. "She has this glow to her that brightens me up, and even though we're engaged I still get butterflies when she's around. I just love her so much it's hard to explain.".

Just as you finished your small speech Natasha started smiling. They really do love her, she thought. Yelena was silent but you could see a small smile on her lips. "Mama Yelena's smiling, I think she's possessed" Natasha said playfully. Yelena's smile dropped as she hit her sister's shoulder.

You smiled widely, your nervous immediately went away as you saw the two sisters practically wrestle each other. You really are going to enjoy being part of this family.
