Prelude

Someone get me some ribs because I'm back! William's resident fellow author, feral familiar and big-bodied buffer Donniedrako15 , has made his return. This time, not only will everything you see here today from the title, fight, location, conclusion, and characters be done by 100% me (barring off-limits characters, of course), but this will be part one of a delectably dashing double-decker feature.

In layman's terms, which means that William's has an arrangement with his right hand (I'll let you fill in the blanks on that one), so you're getting double the drako at two chapters for the price of two. If you like what you see and want to have your own story, fight, fanfiction or ship, you can either dm me directly or go to the link down below to my story, the commission center.

The first chapter explains my rules for commissions pretty well. A bit aggressive, but I only know how to go big or go home. And you're about to see nothing but the former. Now let's begin.

Ever since the starting platforms' destruction, the literal hundreds of fighters have gotten stranded from their teams. Leaving them as scavengers to the planet-sized arena below. However, some through whatever means have escaped that fate, a factor that becomes clearer as a bright orange shooting star danced across the chaotic war on the ground.

Though the star, on closer inspection, was human, though, in his home universe, I doubt anyone would view him such. Those are thoughts Shinra Kusakabe of the Company 8 Fire Force had to deal with all his life. However, that was the least of his concerns right now, as, through scarlet eyes, he scanned across the arena while thinking rapidly.

"Damn it. I've been flying for nearly ten minutes. I still can't see anyone. And if I'm up here for too much longer, I'll either overheat or be a sitting duck. What should I do?" he said worriedly.

Fate seemed to give him Shinra an answer, though, as, through his peripheral, the fire soldier caught a tiny dot far above the rest of the environments. Using his almost eagle-like sight, he realized that it was a set of numerous miniature grassy floating islands, all of which get laid over a city-sized sinkhole worth of darkness.

"Didn't think that this tournament even had a location like that. It still looks like a good sport, though, with plenty of covers, plus I get the home-field advantage. Either way, I won't stay long," he said deductively.

In a flash, Shinra arrived and descended towards the floating islands, which gave the young man a perspective none had ever seen before this tournament. Scarlett eyes danced in amazement over a one-of-a-kind sight. Even from this vantage point, he could see a multitude of different terrains like lush forests, huge mountains, and deep seas. They all got separated by bold golden outlines, so the climates don't clash with large darkness separating them.

Most miraculously of all was the small artificial celestial bodies to replicate different daytimes and nighttimes. To a guy who had his entire world ruined by the flames, it was natural he would be rendered speechless at sight. Unfortunately, he couldn't be mesmerized forever; he was a man on a mission.

"What do I do now? I still can't find them. The Eight and Whiteclad can take care of themselves, but I can't lose Sho again, not after so long-" he said worriedly.

Shinra's nervousness clawed away at him till he formed a big devilish grin, a quirk that's defined his entire life, though it came with some inspiration.

"Right, there's still the Adolla Link. Let's try that."

However, before the fire force member could close his eyes, a voice interrupted his focus.
