The sun is about to rise, and I haven't beaten Mother once, and I'm running out of air.
My legs fell to the earth, grabbing my air. They can't work much longer since I'm too exhausted to move. As I collapsed, Mother laughed at me.
"What a beast" I said out loud and quickly covered my lips in fear when I saw the look at her face. Being afraid Mother would scream at me.
"Why are you afraid? I doubt no one thinks of me as a Beast, when they see me in battle is another story..." she joked. I was still afraid she'd scream at me, but I laughed it off as well.
As I stood up, the sun had risen over the ground My mother and I gazed at the stunning sunset.
Mother swung the wooden sword at a tree that flew past me.
It was just 3 yards away, and I was stunned. Mother yelled at the tree, "Who are you?"
In horror, a bird plummeted from a tree branch.
I laughed and came to a halt as soon as I sensed a stare from the location where the bird had stayed before flying away. Is someone staring at us? Is that why Mother flung the sword so quickly?
"Mother?" I asked as soon as the attention shifted away from me. Mother glanced into the distance for a few seconds before swiftly saying, "Let's go inside for now. I'm exhausted." I knew she was lying.
It was uncomfortable because Mother called for the knights but we didn't say anything after that. "You'll have knights in your room till further notice," I agreed, despite my reservations.
I was bored as I slept in my bed. The servants gave me books, games, and other items, but I was uninterested in them.
I pouted, I want to go outside. But I was certain that they would disagree with my 'safety' judgments. What kind of moron would murder someone in the middle of the morning in front of a large crowd if I went to the festival?
"Take me to mother," I said, expecting them to agree. I kept asking every five minutes until I gave up.
Any rational person would give up and wait, but me? I'm not sure because my recollection has faded.
"Huh?" I asked, perplexed, drawing the knight's attention.
"Why is there a black hooded man with a knife outside? He doesn't appear like a worker," I asked aloud.
They hastily directed their gaze outside and ran to the window to look.
Dumbass, and I dashed to my Mother's office-which I had no idea about, so I simply ran about aimlessly till I came upon a nice door.
Few maids, by which I mean everyone, noticed me running around in my pajamas searching for Mother. Imagine being in a novel; why would anyone not want to have a good time?
Aha! I discovered it after discovering four magnificent doors. It was finally discovered! "Mother!" I yelled as I flung open the door with all my power, surprising the servants inside.
I completely forgot who I am right now: Freya De Callida Vanidestine Omisha.
"Your highness!" the misled knights said as they rushed up to me. "Freya..." Sh!t Oh, Mother is going to scream at me.
Please don't yell at me, please don't yell at me, please don't yell at me, please don't yell at me. I keep begging in my head. To relax, I clenched my jaw and touched my 4 fingers using my thumb. I murmured, "I... Uh..."
"Your highness?" said the servant next to mother, concerned. "Please don't yell at me, please don't." was still going on and on on my mind
I began to sweat and felt everyone's eyes on me... The servants, the knight, and Mother were all present. Why am I so frightened? I'm confident that Mother will not harm me. I can't even recall my past experiences.
Fuck, Mother yelled, "Freya!" Fuck. I cursed Fuck. "Freya," Mother's voice? as I was staring at the floor I noticed a shadow on the floor, but my breathing was still heavy.
"Is there something wrong with you, Freya?" Mother inquired, tears welling up in my eyes.
"Ah..." Tears were spilling on the floor, and everyone was frantically attempting to calm me down.
"I'm sorry, Freya," Mother says as she kneels to stare up at my face. "I was only worried because I didn't think you'd miss me."
"Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" Mother inquired, and I shook my head, clutching my nightgown like a kid desperate to be with their mother.
"Let's go to the festival today," Mother said as she stood up and motioned to the servant behind her to reorganize her itinerary.
"All right!" I said as I exited the room, leaving my mother and the staff alone. Mother's smile faded... Looking like a beast on the verge of killing someone
"Dillian, why did Freya suddenly flinch when I called her name?"
Dillian, bowing, the head maid was terrified when she saw Valentina Avender Vanidestine Omisha's face.
Outside the country everyone knew Valentina adored her child, but once they entered their domain, it appeared the reverse. Except for the servants and Princess Freya, everyone assumed Queen Valentina had abandoned Her child, but the truth is... Freya was more important to her than diamonds and gems, the earth, and the sky.
The Queen secretly hired spies all around the world to spy on people and assassinate those who dared to offend Freya, at the price for 50 golden coins for every kill. Certainly, it was expensive but it's Valentine. The richest woman in this world, also the strongest and the most intelligent. She owns the most successful and strongest country in just 5 years. The Zalinadria empire.
So, if you dare to physically, mentally, or emotionally harm Princess Freya. You wouldn't die at first but you'd also be tormented until your body went numb, then softly burned to death, killing your loved ones in the process.
Dillian was terrified and said, "I'll go check, Your highness." Valentine stood in front of Dillian and said, "Check? You should've checked years ago." The castle seemed to be enveloped by a dark aura due to its terrifying vibe.
Meanwhile, Freya was putting on a disguise, unaware of the aura because she was thinking good thoughts. Valentina's presence gave the maids shivers Despite the fact that there were hundreds of rooms.
