You are the hero,you like to think of yourself as a pretty reliable and swell guy.Your life is pretty normal aside from the heroic quests fighting monsters and stuff.
You are told that a villager from you village has been captured by the demon overlord,who even builds a village right next to castle full of demons anyway?You don't get it.You are happy to protect the townspeople,you were born for this role!
You head off on your adventure until you notice there are demon soldiers blocking your path,you could kill them to gain experience...

You quickly kill the vile creatures and carry on your journey,you feel much stronger now!After a long walk,you make it to the castle's front gates where you are faced with an army of demons that look quite intimidating...

...This is what must be done to save the villager,you gather all your courage and slay the demons one by one,these are evil demons anyway!The world is safer with them gone,that's what you tell yourself as you slice through each and every one of them on the way to the overlord's chamber.
The overlord appears,demanding what the hell you are doing murdering all of his soldiers you ask him where is he keeping the villager,she feigns ignorance a convincing act,but you won't be fooled.If the villager isn't here,then where could she be?You can only see one answer,they definitely captured her,it's possible that she could've also been devoured.
Thinking about that poor villager's fate fills you with anger,you attack the overlord with everything you got You've become strong from the hordes of demons you've slayed before this battle,at this point the overlord is no match for you.You stab her and cut her to pieces.
You sigh in relief,but your job is not done.You search the entire castle,you find no signs of the maiden within the within its walls,it's just as you suspected...She's been devoured.You feel hollow,a great evil has been vanquished,but what does it matter if you were too weak to save someone?
You stand amidst the carnage and ponder what it means to be a hero.You go to the overlord's remains and to wrap her head in your Cape to bring back to the village,surely your victory will be celebrated
