As we entered the room a man had announced our presence making everyone turn to our direction. I can't believe this I felt so shy at that moment because everyone's eyes where now on me well on Jack and I, Jack noticed my hesitance to continue walking and held my hand tightly locked with his so I don't lose my stance. I blushed a little I noticed Gina and her Barbies in the crowd I saw my mum at far end corner talking with a man but then turned to my direction to admire me. At first I was confused as to who the man she was talking to was cause as far I know my mum has never felt or needed to talk to the opposite sex ever since dad died even when I told her she was free to date whom ever she wanted it's not like it's my decision make. This was the first time if seen my mum smile so brightly looks ill question her later, this should be interesting. Jack and I were now stepping down the stairs to the center of the room there were many unknown faces I didn't feel comfortable in this dress and my shoes were a bit too high which didn't help my situation at the moment. "Lydia darling you look stunning just where did you get this good looks from, my grandma said kissing my on my cheeks on both sides then kissing Jack on both sides too, her acting was way to fake you could tell she didn't really like Jack no matter how much she tries to act nice and I guess Jack knew that too and gave her a genuine smile. Is there anything this woman actually like sometimes I always wonder how grandpa pits up with her. "Lily you look lovely you take very much after your mother I'm so glad your here, and you too Jack you look very handsome I hope everything's alright in school, my grandpa said with warm smile that even I had to give him a smile back too I loved him so much he reminded me much of my dad. Jack smiled back shooting hands with him then a tall slim woman wearing a velvet slender dress came walking at our direction, holding her hand was a cute young girl with platinum blond hair she looked so cute in her little dress with hearts design all over the dress she almost looked like a doll. I estimated her to be around 9 or 10. She smiled at our direction at that moment my heart melted and I smiled back but little do I know that, that smile was not meant for me but Jack because she then left the woman who was holding her hands and ran over to Jack for a big hug, Jack then embracing her and lifting her up. I was quite surprised and looked over to Jack with a confused look, the girl then looked over to my direction with wide eyes which were so big. "Jacky is this your wife, she said now looking at Jack and pointing at me I and Jack were blushing I was waiting for jacks answer thinking he'd say yes, " No honey you, he said to her "You're my one and only forever, he continued and then turned to my direction in a way that no one would noticed what he was about to do because he then showed me his tongue. Is this guy for real and here I was being a bit jealous of a little girl. "But she's pretty I don't mind if you marry her, the little girl said to Jack , I blushed again I seem to be blushing a lot at this party. "If that is your wish then so be it princess Maria, Jack said sounding like some kind of knight huh if she only knew he was all pretty face and no sense whatsoever. He looked over to my side again but I looked away pretending not to care about what he just said. I'd sure like to hug the little girl she so cute I think Jack called her Maria that's cute name befitting her. As I turned around to see Philip standing about meter away from me, smiling at me with a smile."So?", he asked. "So what?", I asked confused. Staring at his hair which was sleeked back.I inspected his whole outfit he had on a fitted black tuxedo with matching black shoes and a navy blue tie. "You should dress like this more often," i suggested, "I don't think you might ever get to see this side of me ever again," Philip said jokingly. I must have not been the only one who heard Philip, because I saw Jack narrow his eyes at Philip through the corner of my eye. Whats his problem he seemed displeased at the fact that i was talking to Philip wait don't tell me his jealous i might also be wrong well even if that might not be the case its worth finding out. I took Philips hand and whispered something in his ear he blushed and then i lead him towards the dance floor i didn't need to see Jacks face to notice that his sight was burning at my back. When the music started Philip and i began to dance thank God i practiced for this dance cause i seriously know that if i didn't id be stepping on Philips shoes more than i can count. " So why all of a sudden", Philip said while leading the dance making sure not to put his hands lower down my back but instead kept them up close to my shoulders what a gentleman. I smiled at his demeanor while looking up to him i caught him blushing again so cute i wonder why his blushing, " Well to answer your question no particular reason must a girl have a reason to share a dance with her friend i said now smiling with my teeth. I had totally forgot about Jack at that moment until i saw Jack walking towards our direction then suddenly i felt a hand grab my left arm, Philip seemed surprised at the person who was behind me even Jack who was walking to my direction suddenly stopped abruptly and the people who were once dancing around us also stopped. Curiously i turned around to see who it was to my surprise it was the one person never would have expected to show up to this party.

"Micheal what are you doing here," was the first thing that came into my mind and of course i mindlessly blurted it out loud, it's not like i didn't want to see him here i was just surprised at the fact that he was here standing right in front of me. " Ouch hi back to you too Lydia," he said with a hurt expression " I'm sorry i didn't mean it like that i'm sorry i just didn't expect you to be here", i said trying not to make him misunderstand " Its OK i understand i usually don't attend parties like this either unless its business related but i decided to come cause i knew it was debut as an heiress so i just decided to show my face a little was it bad of me to come", he said sheepishly like it was a bad idea to come after all.

"No not at all i'm glad you came the party wont have been the same without you," i said jokingly we both smiled at each other " I'm pleased to here that,' he said looking straight at me and i likewise it's almost as time stopped for both of us i suddenly didn't care about the people who were staring at us or at the fact that my dance with Philip was abruptly disturbed i just wanted to be with Micheal i don't know why my body was reacting this way i mean this is only our second encounter and it still feels like i know him from somewhere my whole body was reacting to Micheal and not because of his drop dead gorgeous smile but at fact that i was ready to kiss this guy at any moment considering the other fact that he still held my left arm. " So miss Lydia how are you enjoying your party i hope no ones pestering you i remember my first party it seemed like everyone wanted to be friends with me although they were just after my fathers money," he said still keeping that smile of his, i saw his eye twitch a little like he remembered some horrible thing. Although he was smiling at me i could tell that Micheal was hurting i don't know why he just gets more mysterious now i'm pretty sure i want to figure this guy out " Well not yet but i think i'm prepared for any trials that comes after all i'm a soldiers daughter i wouldn't underestimate me if i were you", i said giving him a wink and smiled " Oh trust me i know what your capable Miss Lydia," he said smirking at me, whats that did he actually smirk great now i'm blushing. Did he just say he knows what i'm capable of OK now i have a feeling I've met him before " What do you mean you know what i'm capa......," before i could finish my sentence i was cut off by Jack who then separated my arm from Micheal's and he didn't look to happy " Come Lydia lets go you shouldn't be talking to him,' Jack said sounding irritated " Wait don't pull my arms i'm not finished with my conversation with Micheal," i said furious at jack for that uncalled for act he just pulled. Before Jack could pull me further from Micheal, Micheal held Jacks arm stopping him from getting any further "Don't you think that is rude to pull a woman forcibly by her arm your hurting Lydia Jack it's best if you let her go," Micheal said with a straight face like any shred of emotion he showed me at that moment we shared together was gone now his expression only had this bored and yet agitated look as if he was going to take matters into his hands if Jack didn't let go of me at that moment. " She belongs to me Micheal i won't let you take her away again you had your chance," Jack said to Micheal now very angry.

What does he mean by i belong to him is he crazy i belong to know one, i was about to protest to Jack until i heard him say he wouldn't let Micheal take me away again whats going on here... what does he mean by again and that Micheal already had his chance. My head is beginning to hurt before i knew it my eyes were going blurry and i fell to the ground i heard as Jack and Micheal were calling out to me both of them looked worried why were they worried i'm fine.....
