"Sai, this is the truth and you have to accept it," said Ruchi.

"I have to repay them for all the favours they have done for me."

"And what are the favours?"

" Virat sir had saved me when I attempted suicide. He took my responsibility. He fought for his family for me. Helped me join the college. I felt like I got a family here and.. and.."

"And? That's all? If so, then you have repayed them already."

"How?" asked Sai, confused.

"Kamal kaka died while saving Virat, so he had to save you and help you. You saved his job twice- firstly when Vittal Mane filed a fake case against him and now, with Shruthi's case. You helped the daughter of this house unite with her husband and daughter. You gifted your father-in-law what he had wished for a long time, giving him back his interests. You united Virat's father and mother who were at loggerheads for so many years. You found Samrat and brought back the lost happiness of this house, lost son of a mother. You saved Shivani bua and thus the whole from disgrace. You took care of Virat when he was injured. Supported Mohit in his dreams. And many more. Do you know what is the greatest help that you have done for them?"

"No," said Sai.

"You never filed any case against them. If I were you, I would have charged them with domestic violence, mental harassment and sent them to jail long back," said Ruchi.

"Leave it di..," said Sai defeated by her Ruchi di, who is a more shrewd version of herself.

"That is what I am saying... Leave it.. let it go... You are still a teenager. You have a lot to achieve. You have the whole world to conquer. Do not waste your time and energy for those who do not deserve you," said Ruchi, holding on to Sai's shoulders.

"But... I love...," started Sai.

"Okay you love bla bla bla. Haven't you heard the saying, "If you really love something, let it go.. if it comes back to you, it is yours; if it does not, then it was never yours." So, let's see. Instead of holding onto what you love forcefully, let us see if it is really yours." Ruchi said, understanding that it is time that she should handle Sai tactfully.

Sai remained thoughtful.

Before the effect her words had made on Sai disappear, Ruchi said, " Sai, I'll give you an hour to decide. In the end, if you think that my words are right, pack your bags and come to me, dad and I will take care of you. Take all your responsibilities.. we welcome you to our family, our house, again. If you think that your decision is right, tell me that you are not coming. I'll be waiting in the living room."

Saying this, she left the room, giving time and space for Sai.

As soon as the Chauhans saw Ruchi, they engrossed her in their talks again.

Somehow, Ruchi managed to stick a fake smile on her face  infront of those people who have hurt her sister so much.

Ruchi was restless, glancing at her watch, the wall clock every now and then.

An hour passed. She heard the footsteps of someone from the stairs. She knew whose it was.

"Ruchi di..." Sai called out.

Ruchi turned towards Sai...
