Chapter 5 : Relieved

As I asked Shiori my doubts , I noticed something extraordinary . While her left eye blinked , her right eye didn't at answering my questions. It was like she wasn't even aware of it . Of course, it is quite possible to disregard it as simple trait of person but that wasn't the case . For ex , when I asked Shiori to do some random work , her eyes just blinked normally .

What could it possibly mean ? I had a strong suspicion in my mind already . It was not that she was lying but she was also not saying truth. The Shiori projected to me that she believed to be her true self was under complete confidence that she wants to enjoy her time with me but that contradicted the way she was raised , the whole purpose she was sent here and her eyes blinked at answering questions related to enquiry about that objective .

Now I had established that Shiori had split personality , I just needed to trigger it in a situation so that I could confirm it . Obviously , this split personality is result of the conflict arising between her wanting to take action leading to my expulsion and desire to protect .

So I need to lean the variables to make her do just former. I told her about Nagumo Senpai and how he hated me for I was supportive of Horikita Manabu . Then after that , I had to prepare a mental state of ingnorance . In White Room, we are generally taught how to trick our reality.

Mind is nothing more than a drive . You can only utilise it to fullest extent by putting information and taking it out at convenient times . So after I relayed the information to Shiori , I started to delude myself into thinking that I have never even done such thing. I placed Karuizawa at night near Shiori's dorm and asked her to record her if she gets out . After Horikita Manabu told me that this all had happened , it was simply a matter of facade. I deliberately thought about possible suspects wanting to frame me so as to lead Shiori and others to conclusion that I was investigating it from scratch but I knew it all from beigning .

This was further confirmed by the fact when I saw Shiori rolling up her sleeves in gym and she didn't notice how she was grabbed by Nagumo before him getting stabbed. He must have let her in seeing a cute girl and new toy that he can use to gain victory. He was certainly not expecting that Shiori was in her différent personality trying to stab him and then have me framed. Though I would say this was too sloppy a work for someone who was raised in White Room .

Maybe , white room isn't producing results like it used to .

Either way , it was certainly Unexpected to see her act so quickly on information. So I also had no time to find more about class 2-B and really had to spend 20,000 points to find Kiriyama's name to show to Shiori to convince her subconsciously that she was not a suspect at all and that personality stays dormant .

But after we entered the office , all tricks , facade and contradictory thinking on my part were done . It could be said that I simply could have handled her differently and not abate her to stab Nagumo to test my hypothesis.

But I had no reason to help her . She was simply going to be trouble for me so the most effective way to eliminate her was to get her expelled Well! There was 10% chance of it by the way she is now. After all , I had no use for her as pawn in my game right now.

Tachibana Senpai and others just looked at Shiori who was frozen standing still.

"What are you saying, Kiyotaka? I mean you told me about you were hated by Nagumo but I wouldn't stab him..." She said in disbelief.

"Of course! You believe that but Shiori , you weren't even real to yourself so how can you know what happened" I whispered showing my eyes turning to her as she held her head screaming . Probably due to disorder resulting from two personalities.

"Here is the video of Shiori walking out at night . She used stairs to avoid detection but I was able to get her on footage 10 minutes later , message was supposed to be sent from Nagumo right.." I showed them my phone as Tachibana just looked stunned.

"Why would a first year ...stab Nagumo?" Aashina Senpai asked after the video.

"I have no idea but I have already proven my innocence and presented you with who stabbed him . I am sure that my work is done." I stated as I turned ready to leave.

"One moment. Aayonokoji! You planned this." Horikita said standing up . He was not asking but rather telling me as if he was completely sure of it .

"I don't know what you expect from me , Senapi. I am just above average and was able to get my hands on this footage luckily to free myself from accusation of stabbing someone ." I replied as I opened the door but Shiori grabbed my hand.

"Kiyotaka! I didn't know..." Shiori looked at me with tears.

"I know. But that is what you did . So I will leave what happens to you to Student Council." As my hand slipped away from her hold leaving her .

Third Person's Pov

"He was certainly not average in any sense " Kiriyama remarked.

"And planned it ? Looks like our kouhai...are getting more and more bold." Aashima smirked ..

"So what do we do with her ?" Tachibana asked joining in.

"Well! It looks like how she acted and everything, this girl has split personality and stabbed Nagumo when her dormant personality came to surface. I think it is best to get her having admitted to supervision by ward in our facility and leave any other action to be taken to Chairman." Horikita told them as she nodded.

"Shiori! Was it ...look! We know you didn't mean to do it the way you are now so don't worry. With some counselling and supervision, you will get better." Aashima told her picking her up but she was shocked to see her eyes filled with deadness..like she had lost all light after Aayonokoji left.

Just what was his ploy? Aayonokoji must have known that expulsion would still be far off chance seeing her condition so why did he plan all this? Oh...that kouhai ..
