5 days later

Manasa has not opened her eyes till now. After 2 days, she was out of danger and shifted from ICU. RK never left her alone even for a moment in the last 5 days. The family was a huge support for him. Especially Kumar. He understood how weak his son has become mentally. RK claimed to be strong from outside. Only Salem and Kumar understood the inner turmoil. Each passing day he wakes up with a hope to talk to his wife. But she was still in unconscious state. Day by day he was going weak.

Salem came with the breakfast and newspaper early in the morning. RK was sitting beside her bed caressing her hand.

S-"Good morning sir."

RK;"Good morning Salem."

S:-"Sir, I have kept the breakfast here"

RK nodded. He stood up and went near Salem. "Thank you Salem. I have never treated you in a good way. Still you have always been my side. And in this difficult time too. More than my assistant, you have proved to be my elder brother. Thank you."

Salem felt emotional hearing his words. It was the first time RK said something like this. "Sir, I.. it's just my duty. I have seen in your best and worst times. And I know the real you. You are a good person with lots of kindness. It was just coverd with dust. I was sure, one day you will,..you will understand the real you. "

RK smiled and hugged Salem. He looked at his wife, who brought all these changes in his life.

"Doctor asked me to buy some medicines. I will come back sir. ", Salem left leaving them alone.

He took the newspaper and went near her.
"Look bangaram, how famous you have become. From last five days you are ruling the newspaper headlines. Our true love, and how bravely you jumped infront of me to save my life. "
He kept the newspaper away and took ker hand. "How.. how could you do that. You don't even think about your life for once. You could have died. Still you saved me. How..."
He kissed her hand letting his heart out.

"You, could..have done..the same.. isn't it..", RK opened his eyes hearing her voice. He saw smiling faintly at him with half open eyes.
"Manu.. you.. look who is back...", He couldn't believe his eyes. She nodded in response. After 5 days, his wife looked at him, talked to him. He couldn't express his emotions.

M:"How many days.. it's.."

RK:"5 months."

Manasa startled. "What... 5 months.. I..I.. was.. "

RK let out a laugh. She saw it and understood he was joking. She gave him an unbelievable look.

Anjali and Kumar came at the right time. She saw Manasa and ran towards her.
"Manu you are... You are awake.."

RK stepped back for his sister.
"I will just call doctor and come."

He went outside the room and sat down. He lost his control and cried. Kumar touched his shoulders. RK hugged his father emotionally. Kumar gently stroked his head. "It's okay son. She is back. For you. " He smiled and looked at his father.
"I hurt you alot, isn't it dad. "
Kumar felt happy hearing the word dad from his son after such a long time.
"I deserved it son. For what I have done. For leaving you behind. I deserved much worse."
Kumar pulled his son to an embrace.

Later the doctor checked up. She was advised to take a complete rest for the next 3 months. And was permitted to get discharged in a week.
By noon everybody decided to leave as the couple needed some lone time.
He seated at the bedside, making her head rest on his chest.
"RK.."

RK:"yes wifey."

M:"How are you.."

He smiled and caressed her hair locks. "Actually I am a bit bored. Sitting in hospital, inside this room for long. Because of public attention I couldn't go out of this room."

"Oh, so finally superstar is bored of his stardom.", She said.

He gave a sarcastic laugh. "Not actually. Infact I am glad, I could sit 24*7 near you. Waiting to hear your voice. ", He gently kissed her forehead as she reciprocated with a smile.

"What happened to that balram.."

RK: "Oh again Mrs. Why are you always bothered about that old man when you have this handsome beside you."

"Shut up, self obsessed idiot. Tell na , what happened to him."

RK:"Actually I wanted to kill him, but that will be too small for what he did. So, that day already I shot him. Unfortunately it just hit his shoulders. Then I filed a case against him and his misdeeds. Luckily following me, many others who was cheated by him came up. And then he was remanded. Later, he had a clash with fellow criminals, which was my men ofcourse ,and injured badly. Currently he is there in ICU. "

M:"What.. RK.. why did you do that."

RK:"what you expect me to do then. After the operation, the doctor even told me you won't make it .Last 5 days, I was merely breathing. I was in a living hell. I am not that good to forgive such a criminal who broke me into pieces just like that."

RK was fuming in rage. Manasa looked at him. "Why... Why do you care so.. so much.."

He looked back at her. "Don't you know. "
She waited for a more accurate answer. Giving up, he said.
"Because I love you. "

Tears made its way out of her eyes.
"More than yourself..?", She asked.
He thought for while. "Hmm... Maybe a little less. ", He said with a smirk.

"Idiot. ", She smacked his hand.
He smiled and hugged her tightly.

"I love my life most. But you,.. you are my life. I love you. "
