Piltover. The land of innovation. A city dedicated to the future and making dreams a reality. Its buildings so tall the gilded rooftops reflected like a thousand suns. That's what the people who lived above said at least....and those who lived below...Piltover was a perfect city of oppression.
Zaun was the city of the forgotten....those who fell on hard times and Piltover did nothing to help. They weren't all bad, some just simply couldn't afford life, but Zaun turned you bad. It soured you, corrupted everyone who fell down to city below.
If you were smart you'd adapt. If you were strong enough you'd do what was necessary to survive.
But that was after....after the undercity lost its greatest protector, and it was all because of a ragtag group of kids who thought of the undercity as their playground.

"Come on, Powder, keep up!" footsteps hurtled across rooftops and scaled the sides of buildings. Laughter and harmless insults bounced back and forth between the five kids until the victor came out on top.
"I beat you again." Vi smiled as she turned on her crew, she was the eldest by technicality and the tallest. She was built like a fighter, and that's what she was. Stong and smart...albeit a little hot-headed. Clagger slumped over the edge of the building laying on the roof to catch his breath, he was a rather husky boy, very kind, and puts his brute strength to use. Mylo immediately went into a rant about how her legs were longer and it wasn't fair, Mylo was a scrawny thing, he had a lot to say but very rarely was it anything of substance.
"Amara can't see and she still beat you Mylo." Vi rolled her eyes. Amara was silent as she caught her breath. She was the shortest out of all of them, besides Powder who was four years younger than Amara. "You're all just slow." Vi chuckled and turned to see her little sister staring in awe over the city. "One day, I'm gonna ride in one of those things." she said as an airship flew low overhead. "And one day, I'm gonna shoot one of 'em down." Mylo imitated a gun and pointed it at the airship with one eye closed.
"If you want to actually hit it...you may want to keep both eyes open." Amara knocked Mylo's shoulder and he turned to glare. "What do you know, you wouldn't hurt a fly...pipsqueak." Amara snarled and got in Mylo's face. "Mylo leave her alone." Vi chastised. Amara smiled and stuck out her tongue knowing Vi would always side with her. Mylo rolled his eyes "Now, little mouse, come here." Amara looked over to see Vi staring at her "Am I little mouse?!" she questioned incredulously. Mylo let out a loud laugh and Amara shoved him again before walking over to Vi.
Amara was small, thin, lanky. A willowy girl with not much substance to her. People often mistook her for a ghost haunting the back alleys of the undercity. Her pale hair and pale skin didn't help the rumor either. Her eyebrows were so fair they barely looked like there were any on her face at all. And her eyes...pale pink. She could see but not well, things were blurry, and the farther away the blurrier it got. Also, bright lights gave her crippling headaches. She was one fo the few in the underground that thrived....a gutter rat....a cockroach. As some so lovingly called her...
"They say you used to live up here." Vi looked down at Amara, the girl shrugged "My parents did, years ago. I don't remember much." she rubbed her arm and squinted. They were never this close to the sun, it was blinding.
"Lucky I know where we are going then, if you don't remember much about the top side." The rest joined them on the edge, looking out over the massive city. "Vi, are, are you sure about this? Look, if we get caught, we're-" Clagger stammered. "We're not gonna get caught. We'll be in and out before anyone notices." Vi leaped to the next rooftop and they all followed.
