SUMMARY
Allura's past is unknown to her. It was like one day, she woke up and everything was wiped clean. Thankfully, she had one person to fill her in a little on what she didn't know. This person was Vanitas, a doctor that took over the role of protecting the Book of Vanitas which is said to belong to the feared Vampire of the Blue Moon. Allura travels with Vanitas to help him cure vampires whose true names have been corrupted. When the two meet an Archiviste vampire with an interest in the Book of Vanitas, things get a lot more complicated.

NOTES
This is my new story that I have been working on the idea for a while. This is based on the manga of the Case Study of Vanitas so there will be some manga spoilers when we get past where the anime ends. As I'm writing this, the manga is currently on chapter 55.5 so if I write something that contradicts something that happens in the future of the manga then it's because it was probably written before those chapters came out.
There aren't many VNC fanfics yet so I took it upon myself to write one since I ran out of VNC stories to read. Also, in this story, there will be no romance between Jeanne and Vanitas. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I LOVE JEANNE. I WANT TO MARRY HER MYSELF! But this is a Vanitas story and I don't want to make things complicated by keeping the romance between Jeanne and Vanitas. If I kept it in then this story would be way more angsty than I want it to be. The manga is angsty and gutwrenching already, I do not need to add more to that 😭. That doesn't mean there won't be some angsty moments though 👀.
