Three Years Later. . .

Noah's POV:

"Dada, where papa?" Annalise asked, it was almost 6 in the evening and Jamie still hadn't returned from picking Flynn up. "I'm not sure baby, why don't we get dinner ready for them?" She puffed and huffed, very unhappy about being away from Jamie for so long. "If you're good, I'm sure Flynn will read you a bedtime story."

"Okay!" We decided awhile ago what she would call us. Jamie is her papa, I'm her dada and Flynn is just Flynn. They didn't want to have such a gendered name and it was easiest to just say Flynn. Though, in any legal documents they are called her dad.

They are unusually late coming home today and it's making me nervous, Jamie's never one to be late.

"Dada?" I was pulled out of my thoughts by Annalise. Just now noticing I was supposed to be kneading the dough for our bread.
"Yes, baby?"

"Wen Grama coming?"

"Grandma will be here late tonight baby, you'll be asleep by then."

"Noo! I stay awake!"

"No, you won't. Grandma will be tired when she gets here so she won't be able to play anyway. But I'm sure she'll play with you tomorrow." She huffed, continuing to make unhappy noises in her chair.

Sadly, Jamie's dad passed away earlier this year. He was 81 and had a few health issues, it was a miracle he lasted this long. Anita has been very depressed and Jamie hasn't been much better. We all decided to do something nice for his mom because this is her first birthday without Gorge since she was 19.

So, we got her and her friends a week long ocean cruise. She's been living with us as well since he passed, while she was on the cruise the house seemed very quiet. But today she's coming back.

I just hope she's doing a little better. I can't imagine losing Jamie or Flynn, it's a good thing we'll all go together when one of us die.

"Papa!" I was yet again snapped out of my thoughts by Annalise who was now squirming in her seat, waiting very impatiently for Jamie to pick her up. "Hi my little Baby, were you good for dada?" She nodded vigorously against his chest and I chuckled. A few seconds later Flynn walked in with a large box and sat it on the floor. "Was dat Fyn?" Annalise said, They smiled and took her from Jamie kissing her face repeatedly as she squealed. "Waaa! Dada help!"

"Sorry, there's no help for you."

—————————

"What is in that box?" I finally asked once Annalise was asleep, Jamie and I were sitting on the couch and Flynn bent down to open the box. "Remember awhile back when you and Vallory decided to get matching strollers for the girls?"

-Jamie's cousin Tyler and his Mate Vallory also had a baby girl, her name is Penny and she just turned 2 a few months ago. "Yeah, I remember."

"Well, this is supposedly it. We haven't opened it yet."

"Ohh." That explains why they were home late, the post office is on the other side of town.

"Well let's open it up! I want to see!"
Flynn chuckled and began opening the box. "Hey Angel, I meant to ask if Anita has messaged you at all today?"

Jamie smiled and nodded. "Yes, she said the cruise was fantastic and that we should all go on one together someday."

"That would be fun, I think maybe a holiday cruise would be best for Flynn's work schedule. Possibly around the Christmas?" Jamie chuckled softly, smiling to himself. I knew it would make him laugh if I called it 'the Christmas' like on our first date, when he was explaining different human holidays. his laughs or quiet giggles have been few and far between lately, it's always been my goal to make him happy. Now I just do and say even stupider things to get a reaction out of him, so far it's working today.

"What do you think babe?"

"That's a good idea, it's been pretty busy at the station lately-" Flynn was cut short when Jamie turned to grab the instructions and knocked the stroller pieces on the floor. They slid every-which-way making a huge mess and majorly setting back all the progress they had made thus far on putting it together.

It was utterly silent for a few long seconds before Jamie burst out laughing, soon Flynn and I joined him. We were both so happy to hear him laugh that the stroller was momentarily forgotten.

                 —————————

Around 9:30 Anita got back, she was exhausted from the disembarking experience and travel home, but she did seem a lot better. She went straight to bed though, Jamie decided that he wanted to go on a quick walk tonight so Flynn and I went with him. We stopped at the park and sat under a big tree near one of the fountains.

"Are you feeling better today, Love?" Flynn placed an arm around Jamie's shoulders and kissed the side of his head. "Yeah.. I'm just happy mom seems to be okay now."

"Right, she was even smiling." That made Jamie smile as he rested his head on Flynn's shoulder. "Can I tell you both something?"

"Hm?"

"Yes, Love"

"I love you."

                     The End!

I hope you enjoyed this book, sorry it took so long for me to get this last chapter out, I've been having difficulty with YouTube recently and trying to fix that has taken up a lot of time. (If you're from my YouTube channel hopefully you haven't noticed)

Anyway,
Yay! It's finally finished! I don't have any plans to make a second book, but I do have other books that I'm going to write if everything goes well.

Bye bye!
