It wasn't until 2:35 that afternoon till Otto began to feel a sense of regret. He had known he'd been harsh, too harsh? Maybe. But it was clear by the empty room that Shrek had thought it was too harsh. Otto could feel the slightest pang in his chest. This had been his fault, he knew it. But ever since Norman had screwed him over, he had always found himself failing at, well, life. The simplest errors caused him unbelievable anger, grief, and hurt. He knew that Oscorp was doing better than any other company, better than Octavius industries. He had changed that, well, he had changed his mind about changing it. He had gear, enough gear to kill Norman, this sort of gear in the possession of simply crippled civilians was not needed. It was now confirmed, he was better than anything Norman could ever do, better than anything he could ever accomplish and he always would be. He was always one step ahead (go nikocado). But he had made a mistake. He knew he had. With Shrek.
He had never loved Shrek. He found himself rarely loving people in that manner nowadays. But it didn't matter. He had needed Shrek. Shrek would've been his secret weapon, he could've even taken down Norman with ease, but now, Shrek was not his. And he had the slightest inkling that the man would've gone to Otto's very enemy. He was a vengeful one, and while they had rarely ever shown affection for each other, he knew Shrek had been obsessed with him. He would've done anything Otto wished for, and he had ruined it.
Another mistake.
It was fine.
In due time, it would all solve itself, he knew that, he knew that not as Doctor Otto Octavius he would win, but as Dock Ock, he could do anything, he could level cities if he wished, but he would have to solve his biggest problem. Norman and Shrek.
He would kill them both, in ways even their wildest imagination couldn't think of. But first, he had to deal with his next fanboy. Jungkook.
There was time before Jungkook came, and he found his newest apprentice was being more than irritating. Otto didn't hate many of those who worked for him, he liked quite a few of them, but William Afton often got at his very wits end. He didn't know how he did it, but the man seemed perfect at it. His purple suits, and the smug looking grin that plastered his face at all times of the day. He seemed so eager, and he had this strange obsession with making full body prosthetics, like an iron man suit but useless almost.
"William, what is it you're doing?"
Otto let his gaze sweep over to where the clumsy purple guy lay sprawled on the floor, attempting to sort an arrangement of bolts and screws.
"Oh, Hi Doctor."
William seemed distracted, overdressed to say the least.
"What are you doing William?"
Otto asked again, hiding the impatience rooting its way out of him.
"Oh, okay Doctor, can I explain my idea to you?"
Otto looked at William, slightly confused as he ran his eyes over the man.
"Okay, what is it?"
William stood up beaming.
"So, I've got an idea right." He paused for effect. "I want to start a pizzeria, with animatronics everywhere, what do you think Dock?" Asked William.
"I think you should do whatever you truly want to William, don't ever hold yourself back." Otto replied.
While Otto again, did not exactly like William, he didn't want him to go through exactly what he had with Norman and Oscorp. Oscorp was his very first mistake. A mistake he would never make again, and he would let no one else around him make a mistake like that very one. He would not let them fall prey to evil men like Norman, who used others and then left them to rot while they stood atop their stolen prizes.
