| a softer goodbye, but words not spoken yet. |
"Y/N! Darling could you come down for a second?" her mother yelled from below the staircase, calling for her beloved Y/N. Her daughter tumbled down the stairs, fixing her curled hair that had somehow made it's way in front of her face. "What's up?" She looked up at her mom expecting an answer. "I think you should sit down. Me and your father wanted to talk to you about it together." What could be so important they had to talk about with her together? She saw her father there, his glasses on the bridge of his nose. He looked up, hearing the clacking of his daughters shoes.
"Sit!" He said patting the spot in front of him. She pulled out the chair, a confused face plastered on her face. Y/N's mother sat beside her father, her mother looked at her father, hoping he'd began the conversation that would eventually ruin her life. "Honey." He looked away from her. There was no way out of this. There was no way to alternate the text either. The damage was done. He took a deep breath before speaking. "We're moving." He said, finally looking up to her. "What?" He could hear the tremble in her voice. "Darling hear us out." Her mother spoke in her father's position. She didn't want to hear any of it. She got out of the chair, the wooden stool screeching against the floor of the old, worn out house. She ran to the door, twisting the knob. She grabbed her coat off the rack before slamming the door harshly, the whole house practically shook.

She was nuzzled in the arms of her beloved. He rubbed her back, while she clutched onto his shirt. "It's going to be okay." Was all he could say. He had no idea what else he could do, they'd practically grown up together, and now. She'd be torn apart from him. Y/N couldn't think about anything, her mind spiraling. He was her coping mechanism, and he'd be taken away from her. She hated her parents for that. She'd never forgive them for as long as she walked the Earth, no scratch that. For as long as the universe existed. All of eternity. "You know I can't do long distance Jimin." He nodded his head, pulling her closer into his chest and running his fingers through her hair. "You'll always be in my heart." He whispered for her ears only. "I love you." Now was not the best time to confess their love for one another, but she said it anyways. "I love you too Jimin. You know I do." She found his hand, watching it for a moment, before her delicate fingers brushed over the palm, holding it in hers softly.
This caused a tingle to go down, from his head to toes. Jimin loved that electrifying feeling. "We can always stay in touch, you know?" He said, smiling sadly at her. His thumb caressed the skin of her hand, waiting for her reply. "I'd like that." She smiled watching his hands work magic on her own. Jimin kept quiet, because he knew what he thought in his head. What if I moved along with Y/N? He felt like he could convince his parents, it would just take time. He just needed her to wait for him. "Hey Y/N?" She looked up, looking him in the eye with a smile. She hummed, telling him to continue with that little noise, not even opening her mouth to speak. "Can you wait for me?" He continued rubbing in her hand, hoping to calm her down. He noticed one of her hands was still clutching his white shit. She had come over unannounced, but it was alright. Y/N was in pain and Jimin knew he had to be there for her. He was always there for her.
"What do you mean Jiminie?" Her gaze continued staring into those eyes she had fallen in love with those two years ago. "Just wait for me. I'll come to you, like I always have." He smiled at her, and for a moment there she could see a shine. He was going to pop. Her hand had been clutching to his shirt without her knowing, she wiped some of the tears that had already escaped from his eyes. "For you Jiminie, I will." She gave a soft smile and turned her back leaning into his rock hard chest. Her hands were in her lap, Jimin's arms wrapping around her waist, keeping her secure. "Do you remember.." She trailed off, with a little sniff but continued nevertheless. "When your dad built this?" She was referring to the small tree house they were in at the moment. It was as old as they were, 17. "My dad built things to stay you know." He said with a smile, his grip going softer as he gradually became more comfortable. "Ah like us two?" He grew silent. They'd been dating for almost three years, but things were different. Y/N didn't even think about the impact of her words.
Jimin must have done a really good job at calming her down because she felt so at home she forgot she'd be leaving soon. Away from the embrace of Jimin. Away from her true home. In all honestly, Y/N liked Jimin's parents better than her own. They always invited her to dinner, his mom always made the best foreign foods. Once she had made something called lasagna! Both her and Jimin were amazed. It was like Heaven! In their mouth! Jimin's mother was always blunt, not in a bad way though. So when Jimin had introduced Y/N as his girlfriend, his mother made notice of how she knew they'd end up together. Then pulled out an album of the two playing together when the two were toddlers. Those were the times.
Y/N POV
You smiled looking up at Jimin trying to stay awake. You turned around, brushing the bangs away from his eyes. You were contemplating whether or not you should wake him and sleep in his bed (his mom and dad didn't even care, you guys slept together often at his house when something was wrong), or stay in the treehouse and sleep in the uncomfortable environment. You eventually chose sleeping in his bed was more comfortable than in the oak tree house. Plus, the bed smelt nicer, like Jimin. You shook him, enough to wake him. He hummed, opening his eyes slightly. "Let's go sleep in your bed." You got up, grabbing him by the hands and trying to pull him up. He pulled you down with him, although he was half asleep he was as strong as ever. "Please!" You whined, getting on your feet again. He mumbled something that sounded like a fine, then got up, following you down the ladder if the tree house. "Careful." You said as you saw he missed a step and began to wobble. Jimin turned and gave you an 'I got this' look. You knew your parents were most likely looking for you, wondering where you stormed off too in the middle of a conversation. Your mother taught you never to do that, yet you still did. Your mother always thought of you as her mini-her, a goodie two shows. While you were zoned out, you didn't notice Jimin had reached the end, his feet meeting with the grass. He took this as an opportunity to sweep you off your feet, literally. "Jimin! Put me down!" You punched the behind of his back, trying to free yourself. "It's faster, love." You could hear the smile in his voice, so you stopped fighting and let him practically kidnap you. He opened the door filled with memories of you both. Your first kiss. Almost sex, before Jimin's mother walked in. You smiled at the thought nevertheless.
He plopped you down on the bed softly, rolling over to your side to wrap you in his warmth. "Cherish this moment Y/N." He said nuzzling into your neck. All the harder to say goodbye. You thought. You were never one for goodbye, even if you knew you'd see the other person the next day. It was traumatizing. Jimin began kissing you, he must've felt you tense up, and he knew this calmed you. The sound of wet kisses Jimin left against your neck filled the otherwise quiet room. "Night." You mumbled out, already feeling your eyelids giving out on you. "Goodnight my sweet angel." You heard him say in the crook of your neck before rubbing his thumb over the purple marks around your neck. "So they know you're mine." Jimin closed his eyes, finally feeling content with himself, and having wonderful dreams that followed.
