Philipp was setting the table and kept looking at the clock. It was 10:30 am and his best friend still wasn't there. Philipp worried because Thomas was never late. Not like him, who was always late. He grabbed his cell phone and tried to call Thomas. It rang, but after the fifth ring voicemail picked up. "Strange," thought Philipp. Then he called Thomas' parents because he wanted to see them first. But they told him that he left at 9:30 am. Now he was really worried about his friend. After calling Thomas' parents, he went out the door. He wanted to see if Thomas might still be outside. Then he saw the station wagon parked at the side of the road. He looked around for his colleague, but there was no sign of him. "Why is the car standing and looking in? There was Thomas' mobile phone and the bread he had bought.
