hiraeth

(n). a blend of homesickness, nostalgia and longing, "hiraeth" is a pull on the heart that conveys a distinct feeling of missing something irretrievably lost.

Author’s Note: It’s been years since I completed this short story as a gift to someone way back April 2022—when I was just starting to write stories.

This piece was inspired and full of small details about us. The description line “A story of a dead love” actually has a double meaning—one is about the main characters’ story, and the other is about our love which is technically ‘dead’ now because we parted ways long time ago.

Although this piece contains many errors, I still can’t bring myself to edit it since it’s the original copy I gave to the person. I feel like just leaving it as it is ‘cause I wanna keep it that way too, even though I know that it’s full of errors.
