y head hurt, my back hurt, it was as if I had fallen off a cliff. I struggled to open my eyes, my memory was foggy so I waited for my eyes to adjust the light in the room. I was in my room on my bed, I was covered in a fleece. I tried to recall what had happened. The last time I checked, I was at the club with Zayn and then I heard a gunshot after that I couldn't remember anything. I didn't even remember how I got back home on my bed. I looked around and saw Mira sitting on the chair besides my bed.

"Mira! What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"Zayn told me to look after you."

"Where is he? Is he okay?" I asked in panic. There was a gunshot at the club, I wanted to know if he'd been shot or not. I had to know.

"He's okay, he's in his room resting."

"I have to see him." I tried getting, my whole body hurt. "Ouch..." I winced.

"Maybe you should res..."

"I'm okay, Mira, don't worry. I just fell, that's all." I replied, sitting straight. I just had to see Zayn and make sure he was okay. I had to know. I wore my flat sandals and stood up.

"Do you want me to help you?"

"Mira, I am fine. I appreciate you though, you're sweet." I squeezed her shoulder and gave her a little smile. I left my room and walked down the corridor, heading to Zayn's bedroom. I knocked softly and opened the door, I couldn't find him. I called out but there was no response. Where was he? I checked the balcony and bathroom but he wasn't there. I left his room and made my way to his office. The door was slightly opened so I decided to check it out. I found him busy with his laptop, he was standing in front of his wooden table.

"Well, that sure doesn't look like resting now, does it?" I mused, going inside. He looked my way and smiled.

"I'm a die-hard, mi reina." He chuckled coming towards me. He didn't think twice before pulling me into his embrace, he just held me tight, I melted, sinking into his arms until he winced. "Careful..."

I immediately let go. "I'm sorry." I muttered. "What really happened? One minute we were making out and the next there were gunshots."

"Some idiot ambushed us, I saw saw a red light at the back of your shoulder. That's why I pushed you back."

"And the gunshots?" I asked in anticipation.

"Yeah that..." He ran his fingers through his hair. He was hesitating to tell me and I wasn't going to let it slide.

"Zayn?"

"It's nothing, the gunshots were nothing." I saw right through him, he was lying to me. Why was he lying? He saved me for the second time.

"You got shot right? Is that it?"

"I wouldn't say..."

"Tell me!" I lost my cool and yelled.
