I couldn’t believe it. That son of a potato looked through his window and into mine while I was changing! Who did he think he was? Taylor Lautner?

I mean if it were Taylor, I’d strip naked for that sexy piece of - never mind.

Throwing on my tank top and my sweater over it, I quickly put on a pair of socks and slipped on my black and white converse before opening the door and walking out, down the stairs and out the front door ignoring my parents barking after me about why I was in such a hurry.

Jumping over a stray cat and across my lawn - excuse me - my mothers lawn, the lawn I swore I would never step on, until I had reached the door of the house next to mine.

The house that belonged to the pervert.

Cracking my knuckles after my neck, I slammed on the door, not caring less if I woke anyone up as I waited impatiently at their door step until the door swung open.

And revealed the guy. The one who was staring at me openly with no invitation.

Standing there with my arms crossed against my chest, I took a deep breath as I paused, my eyes meeting his as I felt my heart accelerate deeply.

Holy flipping shit, was he hot. And when I mean hot, I mean sexy. He was tall, quite built if you ask me. Probably not as hot as Taylor Lautner, but that’s a different story. He had brown hair and a pair of deep green eyes that made my knees weak.

But nonetheless, I was still pissed.

“Hello?” He questioned as though he didn’t know who I was. Which he didn’t personally but hell, he definitely did visually.

“Don’t you hello me.” I spat, anger evident in my eyes. “Who do you think you are?”

“Ugh,” He scratched his head nervously. “I believe I’m Josh Baker. And you are?”

“The girl you were staring at through your window while I was changing.” I gritted my teeth together, my jaw locking tight as I could have sworn I saw him smirk before it quickly disappeared once he retrieved the glare I was aiming towards him.

Opening his mouth to say something, I perked up, interested to what eh could possibly have to say when he closed it, slumping down. Exactly. That’s what I thought.

“Well obviously you’re not going to say anything so I will.” I stood up tall, jamming my finger into him as I seeped in a sharp breath. “You Mr., are the biggest perve I have ever met and I swear, if I find out looking at me again. There will, and I repeat, there will be problems. So I better watch your back if I were you.” And with that I faked a smile before turning on the heels of my shoes and making my way back home.

“Where did you go?” My mother asked the second I stepped into the house, closing the door behind me.

“Next door.” I simply replied, blowing a piece of hair that fell in front of my face away as I was soon blocked by my mother, her eyes searching mine for answers.

“And why did you go next door?” She cocked a brow as I sighed tiredly. She really must have this radar on me every time I’m not in the mood because she always ends up bugging me somehow or someway.

“To welcome our new neighbors.” I forced a smile as she nodded her head in approval.

“Well that was nice of you.” She smiled now, stroking my shoulder with the palm of her hand. “I’m proud of you.”

“Thanks.” I mumbled before pushing past her. “I’ll be up in my room if you need me.”

Biting down against my pen as I thought deeply about the math problem I was solving for the homework Mrs. Harold’s had gave us Friday, I pulled at my hair. “Why do we need to learn math?” I grumpily mumbled to myself, the frustration getting the best of me.

I mean, come on! When in the world will I, Laney Smith, ever use math in my life?

“Laney honey! Come down here please.” Mother called me as I rolled my eyes, soon pulling myself lazily off the bed.

“What do you want mom?” I yelled out the open door as I heard her keep a smile on her face.

“We have guests here sweetie.” She poised her tone. “Come downstairs.”

Great. Just what I need. People in my house.

Running down the stairs, I pushed past my dad until I came in view to my mother. “What?”

“Honey,” She took hold of my shoulder, her arm circling around the both of them as she led me closer to the front door. “I’d like you to meet the Bakers.”

Turning my head, I felt my cheeks heat and my face fume.

There he was. Set right beside his parents, his back arched as he stood up straight, the look of innocence taken over his appearance.

But he was far from innocent.
