Lake sat down on the Cosay family couch as her chrome eyes pointed to the ground, her knees in a much less relaxed and playful position than normal. "Bye Nate!! Make sure to tell me what she says when you get home." An older male voice shouted out of the door then chuckled. Soon after, footsteps approached Lake's resting space. "Hey, Lake, what are you doing?"
"Nothing, just thinking." They replied to Jesse in a distant voice, still looking to the ground.
Jesse sat down next to her, not too close to Lake though, he knows how she is when people get too close when angry. "Come on, I know your upset. Ever since we got off the train you've been so distant from me!" This was a weird thing for Jesse to have said as he has never been good with recognising others' thoughts and feelings, so it must have been quite obvious.
"Like I said, I'm OKAY."
"Lake!! All I've ever tried to do ever since I've met you is to understand why you are the way you are and, well, you! I don't understand... Is it.. Me?" Jesse said going lower in tone as his voice got deeper and deeper in his darkest thoughts.
She jumped up and realised how she had made the brown haired boy feel, "Jesse, I didn't mean to make you feel that way. Yeah, you are SUPER annoying some times, but it's never your fault and I know that. Anyway, that's not what is going on.." Lake quoted playfully but softly and carefully.
Jesse made a noise that for some people would just be weird and confusing, but Lake knew that meant that he was listening and ready for what she was about to say.
"Sometimes I think, have I made the right choice. In you know, this!?" The silver person said while gesturing with her hands, "I'm finally WHO I want to be, I'm Lake, you know that, Nate knows that, I know that, everyone knows that. But other than that, what HAVE I done? Yeah, I've cut my hair in a different way, got A shirt and A pair of pants I want and like but other than that?" She sighed, "Deep down I know that even though everyone calls me Lake, I'm not Lake, am I? I'm just Tulip's reflection with, oh, ONE new pair of clothes and a new hair cut!" She looked back down to the ground and wrapped her arms around her slender, metal torso.
"Lake... Just know, I see you as you, you ARE Lake!" Jesse comforted her while moving closer.
"But-"
Jesse once again, interrupted (in a nice, good, helpful, great intentions way, ofcourse) "Your LAKE!! I love Lake and I always will, not some random girl you reflected for years, LAKE!"
Her eyes filled up and slightly overflowed like a river that had just had enough, "Thanks :)". They both smiled at eachother for a few seconds as they stared into eachother's eyes.
