Sorry for not updating in so long. I had family and school problems to deal with. But I hope you enjoy the chapter.

Terra had always believed that when she died she would go to the place that all souls go. What she hadn't expected that she would be floating in darkness, stuck between this world and the next.

The darkness that surrounded Terra brought her comfort and worry. Worry that she wouldn't pass on to the next world, comfort that she was safe. But she couldn't recall what she was safe from or better yet who?

What was she hiding from? How did she end up in between life and death?

Terra's thoughts disappeared from mind when a sharp buzzing noise filled the darkness. It grew louder and louder until like a wave from the sea she once saw in the distance, memories flooded her mind slowly building up to her last one she saw before the darkness, falling off a cloaked man's horse.

Terra's eyes snapped open and gasped for air like a fish pulled from its home in the water. Her vision was blurry, her body covered in a light sheen of sweat. Her left side hurt, from where she had been cut and her mind was clouded with exhaustion.

After several moments, Terra's vision cleared and found she was in a small clearing in a forest bound to a tree by rope. A couple of yards away from her a small fire was burning and cracking and to her right horses were tied to a tree.

It surprised Terra when she saw that it was night when it was night when it had been night when she had fainted. Though she guessed that she had been out for many ours but the thing that surprised her the most was when she saw figures surrounding the fire.

A small inaudible gasp escaped Terra's lips as she stared at the people who surrounded the fire. It was the cloaked men, with their hoods down and their masks off, revealing their faces.

"Humans." Terra growled lowly, so only she could hear.

Many thoughts ran through Terra's head as she stared at the men. Why hadn't she smelled them? Why did they kidnap her? and most importantly, Did the humans plan on breaking the treaty and starting a war?

Worry rushed through Terra at that thought. If there was a war that meant many lives would be lost and Terra's tribe would be in danger along with Nyra and Chane.

Terra's ears twitched as the sound of crunching leaves and footsteps, came from her left. Terra's head snapped towards the sound, her green eyes slightly glowing, easily cutting through the darkness and revealing the person who was approaching her.

There, a few feet away from her, was the man cloaked in white. His hood was drawn back and his mask was gone, revealing his long silver hair that hung limply over his shoulders in a loose pony tail and had a few bangs covering a little bit of his slightly tan forehead. He had big blue eyes and can be described anything less than beautiful.

Terra let out another low growl slip from her lips when he took a few steps closer. Terra tried to wiggle farther away from the man but only succeeding in causing burn marks from the rope and her side screaming in pain.

Terra bit back a whimper that threatened to rise from her throat, she wouldn't let them see her in pain or show any weakness.

Ignoring Terra's growl the man came up to her and kneeled by her side, causing Terra's wolf ears to pin against her head but didn't do anything. She knew it would be unwise to get a rise out of the man but if he attacked her in any way, she was prepared to bear her teeth like the half animal she was.

Terra's heart thumped widely in her chest as the man raised his gloved hand, only to touch her side. Terra couldn't help the hiss that slipped through her lips when he lightly pressed her side.

"Sorry." The man grunted but only caused Terra's eyes to widen and her breathing to falter ever so slightly when she realized he had spoken in an ancient demon language that was only spoken by demons.

The man looked up and Terra wondered how she failed to realize his smell and the seal that was in his eyes sealing away his demon looks and character.

The seal was a silvery white against the pupils of his eyes and seemed to grow and shrink every time the cloaked man blinked. In a way it reminded Terra of a vine growing in spring and shrinking when the coldest parts of winter came.

The man gave Terra a weak smile but she remained silent. Something in his eyes was off, it seemed as if though he were happy where he was. But why be happy when cant be yourself? Or even amongst your own kind?

The answer came to her in a flash. Sometimes in the most unlikely places you find happiness.

The man opened his mouth to say something only to silence himself when the leader of the cloaked men appeared behind him.

Terra's eyes widened slightly when she took in the leader's looks. He had hair as dark as night and eyes as brown as the ground beneath him. He had a days stubble and his skin was tan from obvious sun exposure to his body was obviously that of a warriors.

Terra's mind cleared off exhaustion and suddenly she was more alert.

"What do you want with me?" Terra growled lowly, her voice sounding like ice causing the man in white stiffened.

When the leader didn't respond and turned to the man in white, Terra saw the man cloaked in white relax.

"Is the poison out of her system?" The leader questioned the man in white, his deep voice sounding like a leader in control.

"Yes." The man in white whispered, his voice soft as grass swaying in the wind.

The leader nodded and took a few steps towards Terra and the man in white stood and moved out of the way. Panic flared in Terra's chest but quickly wiped all emotion from her face.

The leader kneeled in front of Terra, moving his head by Terra's right ear.

His warm breath caused Terra to shiver as his lips teasingly brushed against her ear.

"To answer your question...Demon. You're going to be my bride."

Terra knew she was in trouble as soon as he spoke those words.
