Saltwater sloshed back and forth and rain pellets shot down from the night sky, harsh and fast. The boat was in arms reach, so close, yet so far away.
❝GET ON THE BOAT, NOW!❞
Serenity and Sam smashed up against the vessel, waterlogged. The rough swells were ginormous protruding from the ocean, dark and in a frenzy.
THUMP. THUMP. THUMP.
Serenity's heart pounded in her ears. ❝SULLY, GET CLOSER!❞ Her voice cracked, raw and parched, it burned.
❝Sam!❞ She shoved the boy in the water, keeping his head afloat. ❝C'mon!❞
With a shaky arm, Serenity's left hand smashed onto the boat's stern; a sharp ache shot out through her wrist, she missed the deck.
❝FUcK!❞
On the second try, Serenity gripped the stern, lugging Sam's body with her.
❝I'VE GOT HIM!❞ Chloe reached for the blond, her Viking grip on his shoulders was enough to throw him onto the back seats. ❝SERENITY, C'M--❞

Braddock's shots echoed across the ocean; Serenity flinched.

The redhead lurched her body onto the Stern, as hard as she could. Serenity's pelvis smashed into the deck, BANG.
❝Chloe!❞ her hand reached for the brunette's.

Chloe's arms wrapped around Serenity, abruptly hauling her onto the back seats.

Within the blink of an eye, Chloe, Magnus, Serenity and Sam, who was finally aware of his surroundings, started shooting. BANG. BANG. BANG. BANG.
The boat swayed from side to side, the raging storm the cause.
Serenity's footing faltered, the tall waves were splashing into the yacht. The girl chalked up her buckled knees to this.
❝SERENITY, GET UP!❞ Chloe shouted.
Serenity's body slammed against the boat's ledge. A sharp pain shot out through her waist, her legs going limp. Serenity slumped to the floor, leant against the backseats.

The blond whipped his head at her, reloading his gun in the process. His blue eyes caught sight of the crimson pool Serenity lay in.
