Chapter 15

It's been at least 2 weeks now and Spencer was noticing that his sister was getting a little better. Spencer has gone to the office for a few hours to profile for the team and has been helping solve cases from home so he can stay close to Audrey. Spencer was at his desk collecting things for a new case the gang was about to start.

Morgan walked up to Spencer, "how's little Audrey doing?"

"I think she's getting better." Spencer gave a soft smile, "nothing else has happened so far. There's still some nightmares but I always keep a close eye on her."

"Hey that's good." He replied, "we're making progress."

"Yeah, where's this new case?" Spencer asked.

"Houston, Texas." He answered, "there's been 3 victims so far."

"Seems to be the lucky number on each case we get."

"True. Hey tell Audrey hi for me." Morgan side.

"I will." Spencer replied.

Spencer got in his car and drove home. When he walked through the door, he heard Audrey throwing up in the bathroom. He rushed to the bathroom and rubbed her back. She looked up at him.

"Audrey this is the 3rd day in a row that you've been throwing up." He said, "I think it's time to go see a doctor."

Audrey sighed, "you're right."

They both got in the car and Spencer called JJ.

"Hey Spence." She answered.

"Hey, I'm not gonna be near my files for awhile." Spencer said, "I'm taking Audrey to the doctor."

"Oh my gosh is she okay?" She panicked.

"I think she has a horrible stomach bug or the flu." He answered, "she's been throwing up the past few days."

"Poor girl." JJ frowned, "keep us updated."

"I will." He said and ended the call.

They parked and entered the doctor's office. After signing in, a nurse tech called Audrey to the back. Spencer walked with her.

"Alright Audrey can you please take off your shoes and step on the scale?" She asked.

Audrey took off her shoes and stepped on the scale.

"Looks like we've gotten you back to you normal weight. You're back at 125." She smiled, "follow me to your room."

Audrey and Spencer sat in a room and the doctor logged onto the computer.

"So, what brought you in today?"

"Been throwing up for the past three days."

The doctor took her temperature, "you have a slight fever. We'll do a swab and a urine sample."

Audrey gave a urine sample and did a swab for testing. Her and Spencer patiently waited.

"It's probably a bad stomach bug, Aud." He spoke.

"But usually the puking stage only last 24 hours." She explained.

"The flu last longer." He added.

The doctor walked back in, "okay I have the results. Audrey Reid, you are pregnant."

Audrey's eyes widened and Spencer's jaw dropped.

"W-what?" Spencer questioned.

"Have you been sexually active, Audrey?" The doctor asked.

"I-I was raped a few weeks ago." She answered, "that's the only thing."

"I am terribly sorry." The doctor spoke, "I will print off a few offices that provide ultrasounds on your handout."

"Thank you." Audrey replied.

Spencer and Audrey got back in the car and Spencer sighed.

"I'm gonna kill that kid if the state doesn't." He spoke.

"I knew the whole time." Audrey softly spoke.

Spencer turned to her, "what? You knew?"

"I took a test on the first day of the symptoms. Lines were clear as day." She explained.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked.

Audrey looked at him with tearful eyes, "I was scared."

Spencer's face softened to heartbreak. He hugged her tightly.

"Aw, Aud. You don't need to be scared." He spoke, "you can tell me anything."

Audrey sniffled, "I wanna keep the baby."

"Of course, Audrey." Spencer replied, "you can keep it. I'll protect you and my niece or nephew."

The gang had arrived in Texas and JJ's phone started ringing.

"Oh it's Spence." She announced.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at JJ.

"Hey Spencer, how was the doctors? What do you mean? Oh my god. I'll let the team know." She hung up.

"Well?" Rossi asked, "what'd he say?"

JJ took a deep breath, "Audrey's pregnant."
