It was now my 20th birthday, it had been 6 years since the incident, everything was perfect. My red hair was neatly tied up into a bun and I wore a light blue dress, it was gorgeous honestly, I loved it.
As I was enjoying the party, I noticed a strange white figure sneak past the guards and trail off upstairs. Shortly after I saw this, I went upstairs after it. Just who was he and what was he doing. Unlike my last encounter with someone- or rather something, I had a dagger on me, though it'd be pointless if it were an orc, they're tough and don't seem to need armour, their skin is thick enough.
I made it upstairs and saw the figure walking around, it seemed to be a man, no younger than 20 I'd assume, but no older than 25. He had white hair and wore a white coat with a black scarf, a traveller maybe? I pull out my dagger when I see him turn, his mouth and nose are completely covered, he has thin blue eyes and a seemingly thin nose, I can't be fully sure, the black scarf obstructed my view of his lower face. I pulled my dagger out and held it by my side, edging towards him, my breath shaky, "Who are you?"
"Chill out woman, I'm just looking for shelter!" the man's voice echoed, seemingly panicked.
Despite my gut telling me not to trust him, I remember what that phantom said, I put my dagger away stupidly, bow and give my apologises.
"My apologies, traveller."
"Hey, hey, no need to be like that- I should bow to you, you're a princess!" He reassured then bowed.
I nodded and then made my way back to the throne room where my mother looked worried sick, "Where did you go?!" She exclaimed.
"Please calm down, I was only upstairs!" I saw the man again, this time he was leaving I was going to chase after him when, "Aha! your highness, follow me!" A strange man concurred, stupidly I did. They took me to the moat and threw me in! What rats! Hurriedly, I swam out and ran past that man in the white cloak, in a soaking wet dress. How embarrassing. I stumbled back into the castle, dripping with ice water and I hurriedly changed my dress.
Even days after, the same men threw me in, until one day one of them apologised after I came back. I didnt want their stupid apology, I slapped him and ran back to the castle to change, again! When I walked down the stairs, I noticed a familiar figure.
"Hey, you! I don't believe I had a chance to properly introduce myself. I am Princess Luciel," the familiar figure took my hand and smiled, bowing,
"Alexander, Princess. Alexander is my name."
My heart skipped a beat when he looked up at me with the most compelling blue eyes. It felt like I was caught in a transe of some sort, though I can't say I didn't love every second of it. That's when my mother barges in,
"For love and- who is this fine fellow?" She questioned, almost enchanted by his gaze.
"This is Alexander- someone I met." I explained.
"A rich man, I'd hope."
I was unaware of his financial situation and chose not to speak of it, instead he decided to.
"Actually, quite. Though I spend most of my time travelling, so no way to spend it all!" He shrugged as if it were nothing.
"And you're both friends?" My mother questioned.
I glanced at him and he glanced at me.
