A/N: I'M SO SORRY I CAN'T UPLOAD THE IMAGES. Every time I try to publish a book with pictures, it removes the pictures. Every. Damn. Time.

ORIGINAL PRIDE FLAG: This is the first pride flag, made in 1978 by Gilbert Baker, an openly gay drag queen. Red means life, orange means healing, yellow means sunlight, green means nature, blue represents serenity/harmony, and violet represents spirit.

MODERN PRIDE FLAG:The newest flag looks very similar but has triangles on the left, in this order (from smallest to biggest): White, pink, blue, brown, and black. The white, pink, and blue represent the trans community, and the black and brown represent people of color (POC).

GAY MEN PRIDE FLAG: This flag was created in 2019 by Tumblr user "gayflagblog". There was a lot of controversy, as some people accused them of copying the sunset lesbian flag, and that this flag was transphobic. Eventually, the controversy died down and this flag is more accepted. Turquoise to green colours represent community, healing, and joy. White represents gender nonconforming, non-binary, and transgender people. Blue to purple colours represent pure love, fortitude, and diversity.

LESBIAN FLAG: There are multiple lesbian flag such as the Labrys flag made in 1999, the lipstick lesbian flag made in 2010, the pink lesbian flag made in 2016, the gender inclusive lesbian flag made in 2018, and many more. There's a lot of controversy on which is the "right" flag. A lot of people are saying that the lipstick lesbian flag was made by a racist, biphobic, transphobic, and butchphobic person. The gender-inclusive flag was made by a Tumblr user named "sadlesbeandisaster", and the 5-stripe version was made by another Tumblr user named "shimmeringatoms".

BISEXUAL FLAG: The standard bisexual flag was designed by Michael Page in 1998. It has 3 stripes, pink on the top, purple in the middle, and blue on the bottom. The pink stripe represents homosexual attractions, the blue stripe represents attractions to different genders, and the resultant overlap color, purple, represents attraction regardless of sex or gender.

TRANSGENDER FLAG: The transgender flag was made by Monica Helms in 1999. It has 5 stripes - two light blue stripes which represents males, two pink stripes for females, and a white stripe in the center for those who are transitioning, who feel they have a neutral gender or no gender, and those who are intersex.

QUESTIONING FLAG: There isn't a set flag for questioning members, but some common examples are the rainbow flag or the sunset bi flag with a question mark on it.

INTERSEX FLAG: Morgan Carpenter created the intersex flag in 2013. The yellow was chosen as the background because yellow has long been seen as a gender-neutral color, and the purple circle in the middle represents wholeness.

AROMANTIC FLAG: Green was chosen because it's the opposite of red, which represents love. Dark green on the flag represents aromanticism. Light green represents the aromantic spectrum. White represents platonic/aesthetic attraction, as well as queer/quasi platonic relationships. Gray represents gray-aromantic and demiromantic people. The flag was created by Tumblr user (wowanother one) "Cameron Whimsy" in 2014.

ASEXUAL FLAG: The black means asexuality, the gray means gray-asexual/demisexual, white represents non-asexual partners/allies, and purple equals community. This flag was created by Sara Beth Brooks in 2010.

PANSEXUAL FLAG: The flag was created in 2010 by an anonymous Tumblr user that went by "Jasper V". The pink and blue stripes represent attraction to men and women, but the pansexual flag's yellow stripe represents attraction to nonbinary, gender-nonconforming and transgender people. There has been some controversy about the pink, yellow, and blue flag, and some people use the 6 stripe one (3 stripe with lighter shades) or the flag with orange, yellow, and green. Some people believe that the pink/blue/yellow flag(s) were made by transphobic non-pans, and this has stirred up a lot of confusion as to which is the "right" flag.

POLYSEXUAL FLAG: On this flag, the pink stripe symbolizes attraction to female-identified people. Green represents attraction to people who identify outside the traditional male-female binary. Blue represents attraction to male-identified people. It was created by Tumblr user "Samlin" in 2012.

POLYAMOROUS FLAG: The original polyamorous flag was designed by Jim Evans in 1995. The blue stripe stands for openness and honesty. The red stripe stands for love and passion. The black stripe represents solidarity (with those who must hide their polyamorous relationships from the outside world).

GENDERFLUID FLAG: The genderfluid flag is meant to encompass all gender identities. The pink stands for femininity, blue for masculinity, purple for masculinity and femininity, white for lack of gender and black for all genders. JJ Poole created this flag in 2012.

DEMIBOY FLAG: The demiboy pride flag was designed by Tumblr user "Transrants" in 2015. Blue represents masculinity. White represents agender or non-binary identities. Gray represents partial connections and gray areas.

DEMIGIRL FLAG: The demigirl flag was also designed by "Transrants" on (or before) July 4th (year unknown). The pink represents femininity. White represents agender or non-binary identities, and gray represents partial connections and gray areas.

AGENDER FLAG: The agender pride flag, created by Salem X in 2014, has seven horizontal stripes. The black and white stripes represent an absence of gender, the gray represents semi-genderlessness, and the central green stripe represents nonbinary genders.

NON-BINARY FLAG: The yellow stripe represents people whose gender exists outside of the binary. The white stripe symbolizes people with many or all genders. The purple stripe represents people with genders considered a mix of male and female, and the black stripe symbolizes people who identify as not having a gender.
