I sat on my bed, listening to my Ipod and staring out the window. The rain danced softly on the roof while sliding down the window. Between the city smog, rain clouds, and light layer of fog, the gray was very gray and dismal, making my monotonous mood grow to being very, VERY depressed.

After a few more minutes of just watching the rain, I sighed and fell back onto the bed. I was bored, and I needed something to. I racked my brain for any possible ideas. There was rollerskating, but the only place decent enough to go to that was indoors was 20 miles out of town and was closed today. Going to the beach, ha! That was even worse.

I grabbed my phone and checked the time. I frowned. The clock read 3:45. It wasn't even close to being a half decent time, and it was way too early to sleep. I tossed my phone onto a nearby pillow and sighed. Well, there was nothing great to do inside, and every part of Plan A was done, so....

I sat upright and rolled off the bed, grabbing my shoes, phone, and keys. Time to initiate Plan B.

I stuffed my hands further into my jacket pockets and shrank back into my hoodie. The rain wasn't as bad as it had been, but it was still cold and wet.

Okay, so my Plan B of walking around town (mainly the park) wasn't the best idea in the world, but I literally had nothing else to do except stare up at my ceiling.

The great thing about walking out in the rain is that you had the streets to yourself, except for the occasional car or stray dog. And honestly, it was kind of nice. It gave me more of a chance to think. I kept walking through the streets, absorbed in my thoughts, when I heard a loud crash and the sound of someone running in puddles. I looked up and saw a shady guy running in my direction carrying a large tan sack filled with something.

Something inside of me told me that this guy wasn't a good guy, but I just went back to my thoughts keeping an eye on him. Soon, a short, bald man ran out of an alley, a flustered look on his face. He saw me and said, "Stop that man!"

The shady guy panicked and ran across the street, trying to run faster. My instincts took over and I ran after the guy, not really knowing why or caring. Someone needed help catching this guy and I was the only one around.

The shady guy kept running, but I soon caught up with him. I tackled him to the ground, causing the two of us to roll across the dirty street. The guy kicked me in the gut, making me loosen my grip just enough for him to slip out of my grasp. I cursed and ran after the guy. I ran up next to him and said, "Hey! Stop!"

The guy glanced over at me and kept running. I frowned and said, "Hey! Just stop and hand over the bag, okay?"

The guy sped up, trying to find an alley to duck into. I sighed and then tripped the guy, sending him and his goods to go flying to the floor. I go for the goods, but the guy stands up quickly and throws a punch at me. I dodge the punch and swing, clocking his right ear. He staggers back cradling his ear.

"You're going to pay for that kid," he snarls.

I shrug and say, "At least I'm not the idiot who stole something."

The guy snarled and came at me again. He swung at me, and I dodged it every single time. Then I did a spin kick, sending the guy flying back into the wall. I landed and started to catch my breath when sirens sounded. Looking over at the guy, I determined that he was definitely passed out. I went over to the goody bag and picked it up on my way out. As I was leaving the alley, cops ran past me to get the guy. The owner of the store who had run out earlier was pacing outside of his store. I walked towards him and when he saw me, his eyes lit up.

"Oh thank you so much!" he squealed with delight as he took the bag from me.

I smiled and shook my my head. "It was no problem."

":How can I repay you?" the man asked.

"You don't have to repay me," I told him. "I'm just happy that I was here to help you."

The man nodded and said, "Thank you again."

I smiled in response. "No problem. Have a nice day," I told him. I then walked down the street, getting away from the scene.

As I walked home, I got wrapped back up in my thoughts. I had this inner instinct to help people whenever the help was needed, which I didn't mind giving, but it was at times like that when I felt like a Power Ranger. And thinking about the Power Rangers made me realize that I was probably never to fulfil my dream of becoming a Power Ranger; specifically the Red Ranger. But hoping to become a Power Ranger and then hoping to become the RED Ranger is a little much.

I sighed. Whatever. I decided that I had enough excitement for today and to just get back to my house. But as I went, I had the strange feeling in the back of my mind that I was being watched.
