"LET THE TEST BEGIN"

June thirtieth, the day we have been waiting for, I change into my work uniform, and packed my outfit for the audition in my bag, then went to work.

"Laila!" I yelled before she got in her car, I ran over to her and explained that I couldn't work 'til two today.

"That's fine, I will get Sam to cover up the rest of the day."

I smiled and said "Thanks" and went in to work.

No frozen yogurt machine's went out today, thank God, when Sam walked in I let her to it, then I walked back out to my motorcycle, I drove to Caydes and change in his, now clean, bathroom.

I put on black boots, black jeans, on the pockets of my jeans were white stripes, I thought was pretty cool, a black and white striped tanktop, with my leather jacket, fingerless gloves, and combed my out of control black hair.

I walked down into the basement and the three looked at me "You make that look good" Cayde said, and I saw they wore something that looked sort of a cross between what Poison and Motley Crue wore, I smiled.

"You three don't look bad yourself."

"If we win, we could make the eighties come back" Drax said.

I nodded as we walked out to my motorcycle and Caydes Jeep.

"Meet you there" I said, and saw Gage climb in the back with my guitar and his.

I climbed on my motorcycle and drove.

"Holy crow" I said, when we got there, there had to be at least two hundred people or more, here.

"Lets go sign up, then we will go in and sit down, to wait."

As we walked in and got looked at by bands, singers, and other people, I got nervous.

We sat down, and I saw a band, a all boy band, that looked like they should belong in college football not at a Music Competition.

"Hey! Clowns!" one yelled out we looked over at them "Halloween ain't until October" said a Brantley Gilbert wannabe.

"Oh, yeah? Then why are you wearing a mask!" I yelled back, Drax laughed, and high fived me.

He turned as red as Gage's shirt under his jacket, and got up to come over here, one of his buddy's held him back.

Cayde sighed "Idiots."

"More like birdbrains" said a girl across from us, she looked like a cross between Joan Jett and Pat Benatar "I'm Joyce Latina."

"We're Bullet Warrior's" I said, she nodded "Cool name."

"Thanks."

"So, your trying to bring back eighties too, huh?"

I nodded "Trying and hoping to succeed."

"Well, good luck to you all."

"Good Luck to you also."

"Joyce Latina" someone called, she stood up and went behind the door.

I looked around at our components and thought 'Man, we really have to do our best.'

**

The weirdest part about all this is we are filmed live, so everyone can choose, and let me tell you, in my dads words, 'I'm as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.'

"Metal Warriors."

We got up I grabbed my guitar and we entered.

The way they had the room set up looked like a recording studio, I saw one camera.

I plugged my guitar in, and saw the drummer from Lightning Strike. Tamin Gerlap, and the electric guitarist Marcus Price.

And I bit my lip as the singer Vinney Lowcay walked in, I gulped.

"We are Metal Warriors, and we are performing Lightning Strike's song 'We Are Gonna Make it Now'" Drax said, and me and Gage came in on our guitars.

"We never thought we would make it happen, always thought we would stay on the streets, and playing in bars, now I see how its going to happen, how we will have a chance to make it.

"We're on our way, and we are never gonna quit, here we are, playing the songs describing us, We are never gonna quit we are gonna make it now.

"We thought we would end up in jail, or going back to where we come from, our lives are changing, but we will never forget who we are, and where we come from 'cause.

"We're on our way, and we are never gonna quit, here we are, playing the songs describing us, We are never gonna quit we are going to make it now."

Me and Gage went back and forth with our guitars, then we slowed the tune a little.

"Now here we are, playing our music for the crowd, living big, and still remembering where we come from, we swore the day we left we would never forget...Now.

"We're on our way, and we are never gonna quit, here we are, playing the songs describing us, We are never gonna quit we are going to make it now."

We ended with me on guitar, then looked up at the people to see looks of 'Wow.'

"Wonderful, now if you will please go out to the waiting room and wait for the results, we will be out there shortly" a chubby bald guy said.

I grabbed my guitar and we walked out, I couldn't help but look back.

"I think Tamin Gerlap was looking at me" I said, and we walked to a seat and sat down on a couch.

"He is a rockstar, and males do check girls out" Drax told me like I was a idiot, I stuck my tongue out at him "I know that."

I looked back at the door, I leaned my head back on the couch, and sighed "They ain't got but, a couple more bands" I said, and saw Joyce walking over to sit in front of us again.

"Hey" she said, I smiled "Hi."

"So, Metal Warriors, you ready to see if we have what it takes to rock?"

I nodded "We were all four born ready."

"And wild" Cayde added.

I laughed, as a judge came out and started calling off names-

- and a few minutes later finished with "Lilly Casindo, and Danny and the Puppets."

What? We didn't get in? And I saw the other band that had entered leave, the one that popped off about Halloween followed with his band.

I frowned, and we all four walked out, Cayde kicked his tire on his Jeep, and held his foot and started cursing.

"That sucks" Drax said, I nodded and said "I hope this doesn't mean the end of the band, we we're pretty good."

"Yeah, we could get our own gigs" Gage said, everyone agreed to it, we would look around and try out for gigs.

I sighed as I rode back to my mom and dads house on my motorcycle, I let Cayde take my guitar back to his place, I just knew we had made it. What happened?
