"FIGHTING WITH FRIENDS"

"Stop!" I yelled and Cayde glared my way, I sighed.

"Okay, look here, I didn't do anything to you, are you okay?" I yelled, he looked at me, and I sighed and put my hand on his shoulder.

He stepped away and accidentally knocked me down, I fell on a rug "You dork" I said, and Gage helped me up, I dusted myself off, and started giving him a lecture about being a gentleman.

"How am I supposed to be one? You practically lived with me for a month you should know I ain't a gentleman" he said, I bit my lip.

"My dad kicked me out, that's the only reason why I came and lived with you anyway, and trust me I went through almost everything living with you" I said, recalling last year.

"Gee, I wonder why you got kicked out, Cassidy, you act more boyish then like a girl" he looked at me "Getting into fights, drinking with the guys, Cassidy, I swear I would think you want to be a guy."

I just looked at him, hurt, I could feel the tears coming on, as I made my way to the side door I called back "Cayde, I don't know why you are pissed, but it needs to stop."

I closed it, and went around the pool to a chair and sat in it, propping my feet up in another, I looked up at the stars.

I don't know what happened Cayde has been like this ever since that comment from that other band, he has been talking nonsense, all I did was say 'Hey' he walked on by I tried to get him to stop, he didn't.

Band Wars is a thing that happens every month, Twice a month we will be showed on TV, once at the first of the month then at the end, the first show, the one we were first on, happen in the middle of the month because it was the first show, its just how they have it set up, but I don't know how we are going to do the shows with Cayde acting up like this.

I was still hurt by his comment, he knows why I act like a guy, I hanged around them my whole life, my uncles worked on cars I helped them some, my dad taught me how to fight, heck I've hung out with Cayde since I was a baby, of course I act boyish, but I do like guys, I mean, hello at least I dress like a girl sometimes, when I ain't in a hat, boots, and jeans, and work shirt, working for my uncles...but I got fired so that don't count anymore.

I heard a chair scrap beside me, I didn't look over I looked up at the stars.

"Hey."

I tapped my fingers on the metal arm of the chair, Cayde sighed.

"Look I-" he stopped, and I heard a rustle as he ran his hands over his hair "-I don't know what is going on with me, Cass, I'm sorry about what I said, okay, it's just them jerks from the Band Wars have me so mad..." he trailed off.

"Just ignore them" I said a few minutes later, he looked at me, I looked at him "Cayde, those guys are jerks they just want you out of the Band Wars, 'cause we are competition for them."

He took my hand in his "I'm still sorry Cassy."

I hugged him around the neck "It's okay Cayde, I know you didn't mean it, besides I was starting to wonder if you'd turned into a woman" I said, and started laughing.

He started moving his feet wishing to change the subject, I smiled "Come on Cayde, is it that time-" he got up and left, I laughed so hard I fell out of my chair.

Then I sighed, and stood up, I laid down on a couch they had out here, closed my eyes, and listened to the woods behind their house, listened to the crickets making music of their own...

And yelped when something cold was placed on my stomach, I looked up, and then looked at the other end of the couch where Tamin was sipping on something, I got the drink off my stomach, and through a confused look at him, he laughed.

"Chill its just me."

I smiled, and sat up right, I looked at the label on the bottle.

"Wine?" I asked, he nodded, and bought two cups out from under the table in front of the couch, he placed them on it, and took the Wine from me.

"For your bands victory on the first show of the Band Wars."

He poured some in each, and I just looked at him, he handed me mine, I looked at him.

"What?"

I looked at him then the wine.

"Oh don't tell you don't trust me, you watched me pour it."

I sighed and took a drink "If I die in my sleep we will know what happened."

He smacked my arm and leaned back, I crossed my legs under me, and leaned forward looking at the plastic cup in my hands, and took a sip.

"So, what were you out doing?" I asked, trying to make conversation.

"Out with Vin and Marc."

"Getting wasted?"

"Would I be able to walk if I was, well, only Vin is drunk."

"I'm guessing you could drink a whole pint of liquor and not get drunk?" I asked.

"I wouldn't put it that way, I mean, just half of a pint would get me drunk, that's why I give most of it to Vin."

I laughed "Nice" I said, and put my cup down, he lit him a cigarette.

"Yeah" he said, smoking blowing out his mouth.

I leaned my head back, and looked up at the stars.

"So...about Friday" he started, I looked at him, he smiled.

"Tamin?"

"Yes Cass."

"Do me a favor."

"Yes ma'am" he said, and grinned, I was grinning myself on the inside.

"Just shut up and look at the stars with me."

"I knew there was a reason I liked you" after that he actually shut up.
