"Ma'am, you've been sitting here for an hour.. May I just ask your name so I could try and make a schedule for you and Attorney?"

"Isabella Reed. Doctor Isabella Reed," sabi ko kaya napaawang 'yung labi niya.

"That Reed?" She asked to which I nodded to. Hindi ko alam kung anong alam niya sa'kin. "Hala sorry po ma'am. Sasabihin ko po kay Attorney na nandito kayo. Sorry po talaga. Hindi ko po alam. I'll tell him po agad."

Hindi ko na siya pinansin. I'm still shocked.

I saw her go back to her station and make a call.

Maya maya pa, bumalik 'yung babae sa'kin. "Pababa na po si Attorney," she said.

Hindi ko pa rin siya pinansin.

It felt so impossible for Stassi to be Egan's wife...

'Yung mga actions at sinasabi sa'kin ni Egan dati, he doesn't seem like a married man. He doesn't feel like it. He made it clear that he was single and he likes someone.

So baka naman.. may ibang asawa si Stassi sa family ni Egan..?

Or I don't know.. baka sila talaga.

Maybe he lied because he didn't want to hurt me.

And as Egan's assistant said, he came down with a frowning face. Seryoso lang siya at nang makita niya ako, parang gulat siya.

"Why are you here?" Kunot noong tanong niya. "You've been waiting for an hour?" He even asked when he arrived infront of me.

Napatayo ako agad bago pa siya makalapit talaga.

"Sorry. I was just about to leave," I said and turned around. Naglakad na ako paalis nang walang sinasabing iba.

He stopped me from walking when he held my wrist.

Humarap ako sa'kanya. "Why?"

"You came here and now that I came down, you're suddenly leaving?" He asked back.

Hindi ako sumagot..

"Bella. What's wrong?" Tanong niya ulit pero hindi ako makapagsabi.

"There's an emergency sa hospital. Sorry but I have to go," sabi ko at nagkunwari pang kinukuha 'yung cellphone.

He let go of me.

I looked down on my heels.

"Okay," he said, sounding dismissive.

Ngumiti lang ako at paalis na naman sana nang marinig kong may tumawag kay Egan. Nang lumingon ako, nakita ko si Stassi.

She looked surprised, seeing me. Agad na napaawang 'yung labi niya.

Ako rin. Nagulat.

Ang ganda niya.

"Hey... Isabella, right? I didn't know na bumalik ka na," nakangiting sabi niya.

Nakita kong humawak siya sa braso ni Egan kaya napaiwas agad ako ng tingin.

"Yeah. Four months ago," simpleng sabi ko. "I was just about to leave now as I've said," sabi ko.

"Wait.. My birthday's next week. Will you come? I'll make Egan send you the details. I really want you to come. Vince will be there. Kahit si Egan. I know we're not close but I really... want you to come," mabagal niyang sabi, nakangiti.

"Uh okay, sure," I said just so I'll be able to leave. "I'll be going now."

"Bella," Egan called again but then my phone rang.
