Greedy Me

37 4 1

Throw away your fire detector, you don't need it anymore

you run away and watch; every other house burn.

Drain your holy water, it's not pure at all

you turn your back and drown; those you love in turn.

You walk as if the stars don't even matter,

as if your dreams have already shattered, too much.

You sigh as if the world is on your shoulders, saying jump

it's almost over.

you run as if the fire is in front of you, your demons ahead of you

playing tag.

Avoiding, always complaining, don't follow me you say,

never deserving, hesitating, always wanting.

Cramped hands reaching the opposite way.
