The sounds coming from the crowd becomes muffle, and slowly fade away. Each person flows like a river, never stopping for obstacles but swirling around them. A half-moon rests in the fronds over our heads, as the horizon drain in color. The shadows slip up the buildings as though the world is drowning in darkness, the sky is gray-white and the wind blows itself out. My body takes onto the coldness, standing in complete stillness, staring at thin air once the car drives away. The insane notion to force the fire out of me, feeling a colossal rage surging in my chest with intractable tempers. Anger surpasses me through my bloodlines as I fold my knuckles, digging my nails onto my palm till the veins stretches.

He can't take her away from me, not under my watch.

I dig my hand in my pockets and grab a hold of my phone, sliding it up as I'm flouncing my way out of the road. My mind is occupied, a sense of menace hits me with a brick; Daisy.

Alfred picks up the phone and speaks with a worrying tone. "Bruce?"

"He took her. Tom took her." I say peevishly with my voice darkening. My hands uncontrollably tighten around my phone as I flare through my nostrils with rage. "Get my suit ready."

"Bruce, it's risky. Daisy will know who you are." Alfred says with a shuddering voice coming through the other side.

I pause in the middle of the sidewalk, darting my eyes in every direction before taking a few calming breaths; Alfred is right. She will know it's me. Tom has to take the next move if I have to bring him down, but I can't stay in the shadow forever meanwhile he got Daisy.

I reach back to the manor, shutting the door behind me as it echoes down the hall. The sound of the clock grows louder in the corridor with a split second of thoughts floating through me; Daisy.

The door gives away a soft click before my deep footsteps wander to the elevator. A switch of thoughts immediately trails off to Tom.

Despite his psychopathic schemes, it's the entire city he wants in the palm of his hand. Two candidates have been killed under the influence of Tom; Don Mitchell and Barry Harrison. However, Carmine is part of it as well. I have been digging into Carmine's grave as well as Tom's for several days with Jim Gordon, uncovering disturbing cases under their name. Money laundering, human and drug trafficking; but for some inexplicable reason, Tom wants Daisy for his amusement.

The rusty silvery mesh doors' stripes part and reveal beneath the tower, exposing the shadows surrounding the abandoning Gotham train depot. I reach up to the wooden desk, throwing my coat on top as my eyes dart to the familiar suit, resting beside it. My nostrils flare in annoyance, taking in any solutions my mind could find; The only problem I have is to not be caught by Daisy.

My shoulders rise as my jaws clench in frustration before tossing whatever I have to the table; falling to the ground. With the sound of the materials rumbling, I throw my palms against the table, hovering my body and my head downwards, before furrowing my eyebrows. The only option I have left back is to wait.

"Bruce?" I hear Alfred's voice behind me. My eyes trail off, exposing the worry on his face.

"What happened?" He says concerning, both eyebrows shot up.

I take a deep breath before exhaling and my eyes dart back to the table, staring blatantly.

"She was screaming for my name. I could tell she was frightened," My voice lowers. "I need her to be here, Alfred."

"I know", he responds instantly, motioning closer to the table with his stock as a helping tool. "I'm starting to believe she means more to you than the mission does."

I quickly glance at him. "No."

Alfred shrugs a little. "Out of millions of things you could've done, Daisy isn't our biggest concern. However, Tom and Carmine are. Tom only wants to marry Daisy, so he'll do anything to destroy you. Bruce Wayne, not Batman." I squeeze my eyes a little at his statement.

"You could've hidden Daisy and managed to stop Tom, but you are more worried about her," Alfred says as he holds onto the stock with both hands. "I think you're not honest with yourself, that you may have developed some sort of feelings for Daisy."

"I don't have time for this," I say with irritation in my tone. I raise myself by pressing my weight against the table with both of my palms, pushing backward.

Alfred nods slowly. "Well if you insist. A quick reminder," He says with a soft voice, taking a deep breath in between. "Now that Tom has Daisy, it wouldn't surprise me that he'll engage himself to Daisy today." I ball my hands into a fist till my knuckles whiten, smashing it against the table as rage pounded my body. Alfred frowns in sadness and limps towards the elevator.

Suddenly it hits the flow of my thoughts. My eyes immediately trail off to the open black box with technological contact lenses beside the computer that's still running with two screens attached. I squint my eyes till I grab onto my coat, speeding towards the motorcycle that's left against the brick wall.

"You want me to what?" Katherine furrows her eyebrows in confusion, wrapping both arms around her coat. Several cars drive past the club and the smell of alcohol and burnt cigarettes from the main exit irritates my nostrils.

"I need you to take these on." I say with a raspy voice, holding the small box with two lenses in front of her as I pull the hoodie over my head to hide my face.

"What for?" She asks as she grabs the hold of the box gently, flickering it open.

"You'll need it. You have to get through Daisy, I'm sure something is going to happen." I lower my voice, checking each corner for suspicious activities.

"I know what it is." Katherine replies in annoyance, which made me narrow my eyebrows as my eyes meet her facial expression.

"Gil told the entire iceberg lounge, that Tom is going to propose to Daisy." She hisses under her breath, shutting the box before paying attention to me. I flare through my nostrils, digging my cold hands into my pockets.

Katherine glances at me with a small shrug parting her lips. "And Gil said they are planning on the mayoral Bella at her event here tonight." My thoughts trail off to Daisy. Our conversation continues, informing her about the plan. It didn't take a lot to persuade her. However, she is doing it for Daisy, not for me.

"I'll try to join the engagement party. " Katherine says as she motions back to the door.

"Pick Gil," I quickly say when she grabs onto the doorknob. "He won't have a choice but to pick you, if you know what you are doing."

"Oh, honey." She trails her eyes back to me, scoffing sarcastically. "I know exactly what I'm doing." I watch Katherine walks in as the door shuts behind her.

A couple of blocks away, I walk through an alley towards the center of the city, lifting my head up to the dark night shadowing through the sky. My eyes trail to the thick cloud; until a bright light coming from the searchlight flashes in the air.

When that light hits the sky, It's not just a call. It's a warning.
