My eyelids slowly open trailing off towards the window with the sun roses against my skin. Everything is quiet in the living room apart from Bruce breathing through his nostrils. I curled up into him, reminiscing everything from yesterday.
Yesterday was horrifying. Neither me or Alfred expected anything like this. If anything, it left me skeptical at this point. Bruce never brought anyone home, not even powerful men who probably wants to have a talk with him. I noticed he is more alone than anybody I've ever met, at least one of the wealthiest. It amazed me how much he preferred to be alone, but also have his own space.
"How did you sleep?" I hear his raspy voice, but yet exhausting as well. I search my eyes into his smiling softly.
"Better."
Bruce nods a little and squeezes me in before leaning over the couch a little more; in which he shuts his eyelids again. I lift myself from melting onto the couch and rest myself on his chest, peeking up at him once more.
He looks adorable when he sleeps. His jawline is visible enough to notice the line underneath. The color of his lips has a mix of light red and pink. However, something caught my eyes. My hand trails up from his chest and notice some blood spots underneath his chin, wiping it off with the pat of my thumb. Bruce slowly opens his eyes to look down at me, and I bore mines into his.
"You're beautiful." He says quietly, grabbing a hold around my waist as he lifts my small figure further up to him. I smile softly at him.
"Thank you."
His soft lips slowly spread into a smile, noticing a small dimple appear on the left side of his cheek.
"Why did you have blood under your chin?" I ask quietly, flickering my hands on top of his chest. Bruce's smile slowly disappears as he inhales the oxygen.
"No idea."
I nod a little, resting my chin onto his chest, my eyes not leaving his. He slowly raises his palm and trails his fingers around my hair.
For a moment I got a little confused what just compelled him to do that, normally he wouldn't talk to me as much, unless it was necessary.
"Are you hungry?" I ask, in which he shakes his head but I hear the growling through his stomach, causing me to chuckle a little.
"You're hungry." I stated as he scoffs a little.
I immediately get up and leave the blanket on top of him, heading to the kitchen. Bruce sits up and watches me leave his sight, which immediately brought him to his feed and following me along.
"Where you going?" He ask following me from behind.
"To the kitchen, you're hungry. Let's go." I reply back with a smile.
I find myself in the kitchen quickly preparing a pan with some eggs. Bruce didn't enter the kitchen, instead he stands in the doorway watching me.
"Come on in!" I said with excitement, he just chuckles instead and shakes his head.
"You don't need me to scramble eggs for you, I'm sure you can figure it out."
I roll my eyes as he finished his sentence, laughing at him a little.
"Yeah but your company means the world to me." I smile at him once more and he delivers it back to me.
It was nice to see him smile, an actual smile. Not anything that slightly didn't look like a smile but a forced one, this time he was genuinely happy and I could tell.
I thought it would be a great idea to turn up the fun for him, so I ask him where I could play the music but he said the speakers were in the living room, in which I roll my eyes to.
