Warning: Violent and Toxic Behaviour.

"Wh-What...?" You whispered under your breath, shaking your head as a rush of fear shocked your entire body.

"Do I need to repeat myself? I'm sure you're not delusional. You know what I said." Carlos tilted his head and leaned in, his lips barely grazing yours. Your vulnerability made him go crazy. It was hard to contain his excitement. "Do it."

You didn't want to satisfy him with something so disgusting. You couldn't believe that he was getting off with something so harsh. You didn't want to give him what he wanted but your anger was boiling. How could you not yell at him?

"Get off me!" You wriggled underneath him, trying to free your wrists from his tight grip. "You're fucking disgusting!" You brought your knee up to his gut, causing him to stumble and falter. You took this chance to get out of his hold, placing both your hands on his chest and pushing him away. "What's wrong with you?"

The shapeshifter coughed, stumbling back and shattering one of the broken mirror shards under his shoe. "You don't understand."

"I don't understand? No! No, I don't understand. Why do you have to be such a bitch? A screwup! That's what you are! You're nothing but a screwup!" You took a few steps back, distancing yourself from him the best you could.

"You don't understand!" He rose his voice to match yours, a maniac laugh following his words. "I bet your life is perfect, isn't it? You and Camilo Madrigal, the perfect duo, the perfect couple." That last word caused him to cringe.

"Me? Perfect? I'm a teenager! I spend my childhood as a full-time parent and you say it's perfect? What about you? You have a Gift, you have freedom! So much freedom that you do whatever the hell you want." You were sick and tired of this boy. You didn't want to be involved in anything he did, you didn't want him in your line of vision.

Your eyes made its way to the door.

You're leaving.

There's no way in hell you'll stay in the same room as him for any longer than you needed to be.

Carlos caught that quickly, following your gaze towards his door, before back to you. Coincidentally, you looked back at the same time.

You knew exactly what he was thinking.

So you ran for it. Sprinting across the room to get out of this hellhole. You didn't even look back, hope slowly rising with every step closer you were. You reached out for the doorknob, only to get your wrist grabbed and yanked.

You emitted a high-pitched yelp, tears being brought to your eyes as you were thrown onto the ground; pinned down by your wrists as the boy sat on your groin.

"Carlos!" You practically screamed, tears beginning to rush down your face as you shut your eyes. You didn't want to look at him, you wanted to leave. You didn't understand why he was doing all of this.

The way you called his name made him go absolutely crazy. "Keep saying my name, just like that." He chuckled lowly, feeling satisfied by hearing his name with your voice.

"No! No!" You were sobbing, squirming underneath him as a feeble attempt to escape. "Camilo! Camilo!!" You called out for him, hoping that he'd save you from this mess. He was just the next door over, wasn't he?

"Get his name out of your mouth!" Carlos grew frustrated as you called out for his brother. He wrapped his hand around your throat, fingers perfectly sat around your neck. "He's had you for too long. He gets to have everything. It's always him! Always Camilo. Every. Single. Thing revolves around him and I get nothing." His voice hushed to a whisper towards the end.

"I'm sorry!" You didn't know why you were apologizing, choking out those words as you tried to gasp for air. It seemed as if he wanted some sort of apology and you gave it to him. But he didn't want it from you, he wanted it from Camilo. From
his family.. from everyone else.

"Don't cry," he removed his hand from your throat, finally giving you a chance to breathe. "I'll let you leave if you promise me one thing."

You nodded viciously. So badly you wanted to leave. You wanted to get out of here, to never associate with him again. "Yes, yes... I'll do it. I'll do anything. I'm sorry, Carlos."

"Shh, sh.." he placed the tip of his finger on your lips, shushing you as he gently dragged his finger against your soft skin. "Quiet."

Within an instant you hushed yourself, pursing your lips together to lock all of your sobs and whimpers away. Then you nodded, signalling you were ready.

"Don't talk to Camilo," it was plain and simple, wasn't it? "Easy, right?" The smirk on his face made you doubt that it was easy.

"Is..." you began, pausing for a moment because you thought he still wanted you to be silent. You didn't want to disobey by speaking without permission. You didn't want to get hurt more than you already were. You're sure to have a bruise of his hand on your neck.

"You can speak." Carlos gave you his permission without a second thought, nodding as he placed a hand on your cheek and grazed his thumb against your skin.

"I-Is that all?" You didn't dare raise your voice any more than a whisper. You were afraid to.

"Don't talk to him. Don't look at him. Don't even think of him." Carlos's tone was dark, making himself clear so he wouldn't have to repeat it once more.

"But how.. but I..." you couldn't find your words. But he was patient with you. Carlos could wait. He was entertained by the way you were defenceless; all because of him. "You can't ask me to ignore him for the rest of my life."

"I can," Carlos moved his hand along your jaw and made it to your chin, gently dragging your bottom lip down with his thumb. "It's your choice whether you want to listen or not."

You were lost for words, felt as if you were trapped with no escape.

He got off you, standing up as he watched you stumble back onto your feet. You spun around and grabbed the doorknob, only to turn back around when he grabbed your wrist once again.

"Thank me."

"What?" Why in the world would you be thanking him? He did nothing but traumatize you.

"Thank me," he tugged on your wrist, pulling you away from the door. "For letting you go."

Now that was ridiculous. No way you'd be thanking him for that. "Th..Thank you," but you did anyway.

"For?"

He just keeps going, doesn't he?

You glanced away, afraid that if you didn't say the right thing, he'd do something to hurt you. You didn't know what he wanted to hear, so you kept it plain and simple. "Thank you for... letting me go."

Carlos grabbed your chin with his hand, reinforcing eye contact. "Say it like you mean it."

You took two slow breaths, "thank you." You locked eyes with him. "Thank you for letting me go, Carlos."

"See?" He smiled devilishly. "Listening isn't so hard, now is it?"

You shook your head.

"Good. Now go." He opened the door and pushed you out, slamming it behind you when you stepped out of his bedroom.

The sunlight was distracting. Being in such a dark room messed with your eyes. You squinted as you looked around, adjusting to the new lighting as you walked towards the stairs to leave.

Then your eyes laid upon Camilo's door.
