Poem No. 3 ~ Gay

"You lied to me."

That's the woman's words.

"You hurt me."

She says as she looks at flying birds.

~

"You gave me no choice!"

The man raises his voice.

"You threw my things away!"

The man regrets saying he was gay.

~

"I'm someone in your life,

One Day you'll want a wife!

How does your father feel?

You need to get real."

~

"As a mother you should accept me.

Instead you rip out this part of me.

I don't need to appeal,

Just because my car has new wheels."

~

"No, as a mother I worry.

I think your brain is a bit blurry.

But I'll let you walk your path,

And let you learn simple math."

~

"I still love you,"

That same man mumbled.

"And oh how I wish you knew,

Before our relationship crumbled.."
