Y/n pov.

I slowly lift my sage green fluffy duvet and sit upright. My pillow is squished and dented and my H/c, H/t  hair is sticking up and all over the place as I creep out of bed while I tiptoe to my computer.

I sit on my pawprint cushion on my desk chair and open up my laptop the light starting to illuminate my features as I log in to check on how my first song is doing. I've unfortunately been doing this for the past week, looking at my computer constantly hoping and dreaming my song would do well but just as my mum told me it would. It flopped.

She never wanted me to pursue a music career because she thought I would be a doctor or a lawyer and get her money and buy her a huge mansion but no. I've always been into musical theatre and pop music so I thought I would try to at least make a career in the arts. I am smart in things like English, history, and math but I find them boring and unneeded, and every time I study a subject like that I fall asleep on my face!

My manager has told me I'm doing better than some of his other clients who haven't even put out a song yet. He's told me a story of this duo called Aaron T and Aaron Z and how they called themselves the Aarons, which is completely unoriginal. He's also told me stories of his clients that are on the same level as me.

One of this boy who made two songs, and his most recent one went viral, but unfortunately, his first flopped worse than mine. Mr. K showed me a picture of him and I'm surprised his first song didn't skyrocket with how caring and cute this guy looks-

I'm guessing he was 17?

Wavy tender yellow hair with raven black roots in a circle-type hairstyle that went just below his eyes and pale, smooth, clear skin. He looked like the type of person who would go on big world tours and sing on stage live with millions of people crowding the audience. Kind, soft brown eyes, and when you looked closely you could notice abnormally long feathery eyelashes and a slight eyeliner wing painted on in black. There is a round button nose and a goofy smile with perfectly aligned movie star-like teeth.

Another feature that was hard to notice was the small diamond stud earrings he had pierced in his cartoon-like ears and his light pink nail polish on each finger to match his hightops.

I know it may be creepy but when Mr. K showed me the photo he left to get some coffee from the café leaving the photo at the table next to my Spicy Kimchi Tofu Stew and Fanta. I noticed it and quickly hurried off to find the photocopier. Now I have three photos of this guy huddled up in my wall of photos memories over my bed.

Usually, I don't tend to put random music artists in my important photo collection, but this person seemed different for some reason. It's like when I look at the photo, I get this giddiness and bounce to my step.

And now here I am, sitting at my computer in the middle of the night staring at the wall behind my bed and slowly my eyes start to feel heavy while staring at the picture.

BANG

I jolt up looking around to see my mum slammed the door open. She was still in her light purple dressing gown with her hair in her usual bun.

"Y/N L/N GET UP THIS INSTANT IT IS 2 PM FOR GOD'S SAKE AND YOU HAD A MEETING WITH YOUR MANAGER HALF AN HOUR AGO. HE JUST PHONED ME! WHAT WERE YOU DOING ALL NIGHT?!" She screamed at me with fury in her eyes. Then I realized what she said.

"OH! Shoot I am so sorry can you give him a call and tell him I'll be half an hour?"

"Ok, but I'll have you know you missed a very big meeting! He said it could turn your whole music career around! Now go get ready." Change my whole music career? I rush up out of my desk sleep and go to find my smartest outfit and pick out a collard school shirt, black trousers, and a black leather belt. I know I have a black blazer somewhere I just need to find it. Ah! Found it!
