Niall’s POV
“When are you going to tell them?” My best friend Ashlie asked me.
“What do you mean?”
“You can’t pretend to be in love with me forever.”
“Ashlie, you know I can’t tell them yet.”
“Niall, you love him. Maybe it’s time.” She said getting up off of my lap.
If you haven’t gotten it yet, I’m Niall Horan, 1/5 of One Direction, Gay, and totally in love with my best friend Liam. Yes, Liam Payne, also 1/5 of One Direction. This is my best friend Ashlie from back home. She is the only one that knows I am gay, therefore pretending to be my girlfriend. Currently, we are at tour rehearsals. Well, Ashlie and I are, the guys went out to eat, so it’s just us here.
“Niall! Are you listening!?” She yelled at me.
“What? Sorry, no...”
“God, Niall, I love you to death, but you’re starting to piss me the fuck off!”
“I’m sorry Ashlie!”
“Just tell Liam soon okay?” She said. She walked over and gave me a kiss on the cheek. “I’m heading back for the day.” She said, grabbing her stuff and heading out. I slouched back into the couch and closed my eyes.
“Tell me what?” I looked up and saw Liam looking at me.
“How long were you there?” I asked nervously.
“Long enough to know that you need to tell me something?” I swallowed and thought about an accuse to make up.
“I used your phone last night, and dropped it on the concrete.” I lied.
“Dang it Niall, how many times have I told you to be careful!?” He asked looking at his phone.
“Nothing happened to it.” I whispered.
“It’s okay Nialler.” He said walking over and sitting on the couch, wrapping his arm around me. If only we could stay in this moment forever.
Liam’s POV
If only we could stay in this moment forever. His scent, the way his body fit perfectly in mine, his crystal blue eyes looking up into mine, everything about him was perfect. Except for one thing. He has a girlfriend, her name is Ashlie.
“Why did you come back early?” Niall asked me.
“I left my wallet.” I lied. I just didn’t want to leave Niall.
“Oh.” Was all he said. We sat there in silence only the sound of the cars outside. I heard Niall start to hum. He was humming the tune to They Don’t Know About Us. I just smiled and closed my eyes, and listened to him humming.
“Liam?” Niall asked.
“Hmm?” My eyes were still shut.
“Wanna go home?” He asked sitting up. I sighed in disappointment as the cold air hit, where Niall had just been.
“Sure Nialler.” I said standing up and heading towards the door with him.
Niall’s POV
When we finally got back to Liam’s it was around 11:00.
“What do you want to do?” Liam asked plopping down the couch.
“Let’s watch a movie.” I said sitting next to him.
“What movie?”
“It doesn’t matter.”
“Toy Story it is!” Liam jumped up smiling. I just started laughing. This boy has seen Toy Story over 40 times, and still isn’t tired of it!
Liam put the movie and came back and sat with his arm around me again. Less than 20 minutes later I was fast asleep in Liam’s arms.
“Should we wake them?” I heard someone ask. I didn’t quite recognize the voice.
“Take a picture first!” Another voice said.
“Post it to twitter!” A different one said.
“Okay, okay, shut up so the don’t wake up!” The first voice said. There was a moment of silence.
“Did you get it?” The third voice asked.
“Yeah here.” The first voice said.
I stirred a little and opened my eyes. I was face to face with a sleeping Liam. Why was I laying so close to Liam? I rolled over a bit, trying not to fall off the couch. I saw my three other band members smiling at us. I tried to get up, but Liam pulled me back into him.
“Shhh....emm...Niall.” He whispered in my ear, just loud enough for me to hear. His voice sent shivers down my spine. The boys started laughing when they saw Liam pull me back down. Liam opened his eyes and I smiled at him.
“Niall?” He asked, sounding confused.
“Hey there Liam.” I said.
“Why don’t the two of you stop cuddling, and get ready for rehearsals!” Louis yelled from the kitchen. I looked over and saw Harry and Zayn on their phones. I just rolled my eyes, and tried to untangle Liam and I’s legs. I went to stand up but fell into Liam’s lap. I was surprised with what I felt. I smirked at him and his face turned bright red. I stood up carefully this time throwing the blanket over his lap, and headed to the kitchen. I started smiling. Did I have this affect on him?
Liam’s POV
Dang it hormones! Why would you betray me at such an awkward time! I knew he felt it, how could he not!? He sat right on it! I laid back down and thought of things to make it go away. Thankfully it worked. I got up and headed to the bathroom. I took a quick shower, and got dressed and walked back into my living room. All the boys but Niall were there.
“Where’s Niall?”
“He headed back home, he said he got a call from the girlfriend, and it was urgent.” Zayn said. I just shrugged my shoulders and walked into the kitchen. Harry walked in and sat across the counter from me.
“So what happened last night?” He asked me. Did I forget to mention Harry is the only one that knows I am gay, and have a huge crush on Niall? I just looked at my empty bowl in front of me.
“Nothing.”
“Liam, how can you tell me nothing happened? You were both cuddling on the couch, asleep. So spill.” Harry said walking over to where I was. I grabbed the cereal box and poured a myself a bowl avoiding eye contact with Harry.
“You guys didn’t Fuck did you!?” He whisper yelled.
“Oh good lord Harry!” I yelled. “Nothing happened, we came back here, started watching a movie, then fell asleep. That’s ALL that happened!” I walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed the milk. “Plus,” I said pouring the milk. “Niall is straight, as straight as a wall. He is dating Ashlie.” Harry just snorted and walked out of the kitchen. I sighed, sat down, started to eat my cereal, and think. The worst thing you could do at a moment like this, but thats all I could do. What was I going to do about this Niall thing?
