Married to the enemy

Chapter 4

The following morning Draco had sent a owl to Harry confirming that we would be joining him at Hogwarts in the days to follow to kick off the start of a new year as the new potions and defense against the dark art teachers. We had began to pack up our wardrobes and essentials for our move to Hogwarts. I have to admit I was feeling like a giddy teen packing my trunk again for the next year at Hogwarts and anticipating reuniting with the golden trio again. On the other hand Draco was spending most of his time in the study writing notes and gathering supplies to teach his defense against the dark arts class. I was beginning to worry that he would no longer want to have a family considering the horrible things that happened at Hogwarts the last time we were there. He had been very distant and would rarely even look or touch me. This saddened me because I feel like we had made so much progress the last few days. But once again I thought to myself that I must be over thinking it all. On our final night at the manor I put on a nice dress and cooked the two of us dinner instead of the house elf doing it. Draco had walked into the kitchen following the smell of my cooking then looked stunned to see me cooking.

"Is the Charlotte Albrect in the kitchen cooking?" He said in a sarcastic tone.

"Well I had to get your attention somehow." I looked at him to see a smirk pulling it's way onto his mouth.

"Darling if you wanted attention all you had to do is ask." He said with a full smirk that had finally come onto his face.

"Hmmm I shouldn't have to ask for my husband to give me attention." I went back to cooking leaving a stunned Draco at my remark.

"What are you making." I looked up at him with smile.

"Breakfast for dinner." I said proudly.

"Honey why breakfast for dinner, why not dinner for dinner."

"Well we have a tradition in my household before a big day we would make breakfast for dinner and I thought this was fitting enough because tomorrow we move to Hogwarts leaving our home to be watched over by some elf's." He laughed at what she said.

"Okay okay okay but we have to continue this tradition with our kids okay." I smiled while looking up at him.

After our dinner was finished and cleaned up Draco declared that he was tired and wanted to go to sleep. I nodded at him before sitting on the couch.

"Are you going to join me for bed darling?"

"Well why would I do that just to have your back turned to me the whole entire evening."  I grabbed my book of of the stand that was by me and cracked it open.

"You can read that upstairs in bed." I sighed and looked at him.

"No." I said before returning to my book.

"Did you just say no to me." He asked in a question tone. I looked at him then back at my book. He walked over and took my book and shut it.

"That was rude." I said while reaching for it.

"If you come to bed with me you'll get it back." He looked at me as if he was going to win.

"No. I put on a dress and cooked dinner. Not a single remark about my dress looking amazing on me which it does. Then after I basically told you that I wanted attention you declare that your going to bed. So no I will not be joining you in bed tonight." I said in a monotoned voice. Draco bent down and picked me up in seconds and started to make his way up the stairs with me on his shoulder. "For fucksake will you put me down."

"I will in our bed. And darling you do look awfully beautiful in that dress." As promised once we had gotten to our room he set me down on the bed before then returned my book to me. I gave him a dirty look before opening my book again. He came and laid down by me while facing me. I wanted to stay focused on my book and not let him distract me. Draco obviously didn't like the silence that I was giving him. He moved the strap of my dress off of my shoulder and started to kiss my shoulder and neck. "You know Charlotte I don't like the sass and disrespect you gave me." He moved my hair away from my face "but you do look awfully beautiful today, is that a little makeup I see on your face."
