As I'm opening my eyes from the long rest I had I noticed a certain someone had disappeared. 'I didn't even think of him being a pirate or even a straight up theif!' I mentally slap myself for being so trusting, I let a complete stranger sleep by my side last night.

I quickly throw my covers off, slip on my boots, and grab my trusty leather jacket off the hook by the door.

After my 30 seconds of getting ready I slam open the door of the cabin only to scare a certain blonde. He again jumped like 5ft in the air just like the day we met. I giggle from the event that took place yesterday.

"Is this just going to be a daily habit of yours?!" He yells, "I can't deal with this, I'ma have a heart attack." He says clenching his chest above his heart.

"Oh calm down will ya." I say as I roll my eyes. " You're barely even an adult like you'd get a heart attack at your age. Plus I wasn't exactly trying to scare you."

"Yea well you need to wear a bell around your neck or somethin, I can never hear you comin up behind me." He says as he eyes me suspiciously.

Now that I'm thinking about it I have always been told I walked around like a ghost. I giggle again as I remember how many times I've scared Joseph and my parents just like how I do with Alex.

"Hey earth to Y/n, ya gotta quit spacing out on me." Alex says as he pokes me in the forehead consistently until I smack his hand away.

"Don't tell me what to do canoe boy." I say walking away.

"Hey I thought it was canoe man, why was I demoted??" He asks as he quickly chases after me.

"Cause you're more like a boy than a man." I dramatically cover my mouth and laugh at my own joke.

Alex just looks at me blankly for a minute then walks away without saying anything back. "What did I hurt your feelings canoe boy?" I say with puppy eyes.

"So do you even know how to sail a ship?" He says completely ignoring our previous conversation.

"Of course not." I say with confidence. "But you do right?" I say like it was obvious.

"Well not really but I know a little from all the times I'd go to the market for my ma. I'd always listen to the stories the sailors would tell while I waited to buy." He says thinking about all the times they'd tell sea monster stories scaring himself in the process. "Ya think krakens really exist?" He says looking at me seriously.

"Well you never know if anything exist for sure unless you've seen it with your own eyes." I say happily. "But it'd definitely be awesome if they did!" I shout excitedly jumping up and down a little.

"You really are crazy." He says while looking at me doing my happy dance.

"It's called being adventurous. Since you're in my crew you better get used to it." I state matter of factly.

"Ya know, a Kraken would sink this little boat of yours in two seconds right?" Alex says with his hand on his chin.

"How would you know huh? My ship is one of a kind! Strong and beautiful she is." I shout out offended. "She'd withstand a Kraken attack no problem." I huff arms crossed.

"Ya keep tellin yourself that and watch what happens next. We'll be kraken food cause you'd wanna go on an adventure into it's stomach." He rolls his eyes and goes back into the cabin.

"Whatever." I say aloud to myself. "S/n can handle anything this world throws at her." I look out into the ocean, "anything!" I yell out. "Nothing will stop me and S/n you hear me world!"

"Hmph." After feeling victorious that I S/n would prevail against whatever would cross our path there was a sudden jolt as S/n tilts on her side almost completely tipping us over.

"The hell is happening!!? Are you cursed or something??!" Out came Alex as he slipped and started sliding down the deck towards the ocean. "Ackkk hey hey ! Don't let me fall!" He shouts out at me.

He didn't even have to say anything before I started running toward him, ignoring the fact that I can't swim or help him if we both fall in. "Don't worry Alex!" I yell as a grab his hand and yank him up as hard as I can.

As if in slow motion Alex goes flying above my head, I can see his mouth moving but no sound was emitting from him. "Wh-whats happening..?" I look away from Alex towards the water below me.

In the dark salty water there's a face, it isn't human by any means. It's staring me dead in the eye as if expecting me to do something.

"Are you the one who did this to S/n?" I ask fully not expecting an answer. "Also Alex? How did he get up there?" I ask again pointing up at the basically floating blonde above my head who is still slowing falling. "And why is everything moving so slow." I ask yet another question. "Oh and who are you?" Was my final question.

The mysterious face in the water was looking at me quite annoyed though I'm not sure how I knew it was an annoyed look. "Hey don't look at me like that you- you uhm...what are you?"

As if it was the last straw the face suddenly bolted out of the water towards me. "WHAA!" I scream out as I clumsily run up the sideways deck of S/n. "Stay back! Face weirdo or I won't hesitate to- to do something to really hurt you!" I yell out my empty threats.

When I look back towards the creature I see that it's some sort of merman giant...thing? It's skin was as blue and as dark as the ocean. He held some sort of weapon I'm assuming in the shape of a fork. He also had a jewel on his chest that looked oddly familiar to me. I squint my eyes at it ignoring the creature entirely, "... where is that from." I question aloud to myself.

"You Grey." A voice says not from around me but inside my head.

"Who? Who said that? Hello?" I look up towards the creature.

"Grey are in danger. Debt is not full filled." The voice continues.

The creature looks down at me deep in thought as water drips down from...what I assume is his helmet.

I take advantage of the creatures distracted state and jump up on a barrel and launch myself into the air where a still floating Alex is.

"Alex hey Alex." I whisper shout. "Stop floating!" I smack him and he doesn't budge. When I actually take a minute to look around I notice that it isn't just Alex that's moving like this, everything is. Everything but me and the creature.

As I was busy looking around in shock I failed to notice the giant creature approach me. "Grey are in danger." The voice once again says as if chanting.

"Whoaa hey stop it! Put me down!" I scream as the giant picks me up and starts making a quick motion to move towards the ocean. "Wait wait waittt! I can't-" I was cut off mid sentence as the creature dives into the ocean with me in tow. As we hit the water it moves with incredible speed towards the ocean floor.

The pressure of the water hits me and I'm knocked out cold.
