Lauren

Soon the car came to a halt and I looked out to see a big mansion in front of me. The mansion is beautiful and it screams rich in all ways.

I got out of the car when the driver opened the door. Ethan made his way to the entrance and I had no option but to follow him quietly. Though he is just walking, I am practically sprinting behind him due to the height difference.

I was looking around the mansion and  I didn't see him stop midway and I crashed into his back. Closing my eyes in embarrassment, I took two steps back and he turned towards me. I looked up to see his regular angry expression.

Is he always like this or is this angry expression reserved only for me?

Why does he clench his jaw all the time?

I pity his teeth.

"Are you blind?" he asked me and my face changed into a frown.

I'm sorry. what?

"What?" I asked genuinely confused.

"Can't you see where you are going?" he looked annoyed.

"I'm sorry." I apologized.

He glared at me for a second before opening his mouth again.

"I never wanted this marriage." And that didn't surprise me.

Same here Mr. Kingston.

I was about to voice my thoughts when he intruded.

"Go upstairs and the first room on the right is your room. This is Grandpa's mansion. We will only stay here tonight. We'll leave tomorrow after the party. Do you understand?" I nodded at him.

"Use your words." He stated firmly.

"Yes." I quickly answered and he left without giving me a second glance.

Use your words. I mocked him making a weird face.

What does he think of himself?

An Alpha.

Please, this is not the werewolf era.

I rolled my eyes and walked upstairs looking around the mansion.

Well, I am already married. I can't do anything anymore except accept it.

And I will do it if it can bring me at least a bit of peace.

I soon walked into my room and looked at the huge mirror in front of me. I am still in my wedding dress and my eyes surely look tired.

I was looking for my luggage to change into something comfortable when I heard a knock on the door.

I opened the door to see it was Grandpa.

"Lauren, why are you here?" he asked me with a confused face.

"I was told this is my room, Grandpa." His frown deepened.

"Oh. They might have made a mistake dear. This is not your room. Come I'll take you there." Now it's my turn to frown.

I nodded at him and walked after him.

He took me to a room which is at the end of the hallway. He knocked on the door and it opened to reveal Ethan.

No...

This is not going where I think it's going. Is it?

Nope.
