Watching Him Fade Away

You woke up late at night with tears in your eyes, turning around to see the man you loved a lot sleeping on the bed. You had a separate blanket and went to the room that was besides the room you shared with your lover.

"M-mingi," You said quietly while shaking his body to wake him up.

"W-wake up, p-please" More tears started falling out of your eyes while trying to wake up Mingi.

"I-I need you, wake u-up please" And that's when he woke up startled and turned on the light that was next to his bed, but when he saw you with tears in your eyes, his expression went soft and pulled you into a hug.

"I'm sorry Y/N, what's wrong?" He said, but you couldn't stop crying thinking about how your boyfriend of two years was starting to turn into someone else, someone who started giving you the cold back, the sighs and the "im tired, some other day".

Mingi was whispering you telling you those "it will be okay" "you'll be fine, I promise", you wanted to hear those words from him, not Mingi. You started calming down after he gave you back rubs and playing with your hair for a bit until you spoke up.

"Wait here, I'll bring you something small to eat and some water" As he put you on his bed softly and then went down to the kitchen to get you your favorite snack and a bottle of water. He came back up with a few snacks for you and him while you ranted.

"So Y/N what's wrong? why were you crying when you came in?" He said in a calm tone. At the time while you were drinking water and eating something, you were calming yourself down before speaking up to him.

"It's just that Yunho isn't the same Yunho I was with before, now he just simply ignores me and doesn't notice if i'm sad, angry, or if I'm missing. He just comes back home and goes to straight to bed and I've been noticing that, have you?" You said looking at Mingi.

"He's not the same guy anymore, he would notice if I was upset and he would try to cheer me up like he would always be like "let's go to the park and get ice cream" and now he's just like, he sees me sad and doesn't do anything about it," You looked down at your hands, noticing the ring he gave you.

"At this point, I can't bear to see him like this. After he started hanging out with Hongjoong, he started acting weird. He doesn't seem like the golden retriever he was before, he seems to have changed, he seems to have faded into a new person and I don't like it. He's making me feel I did something wrong" Your eyes started to get watery while the man in front of you just watched you, seeing you in this weak state.

"I-I'll leave him now including you, I don't know maybe not since you've been like a brother to me Min and perhaps I'll need you in the future. Please don't tell Yunho, but I've already packed up my things and I'm ready to leave, the problem is I don't know where to st-" You got cut off by Mingi.

"I have a small studio that's empty and I was gonna get rid of it, perhaps you want it?" He said. Your eyes got a little sparkled up and you nodded.

You helped Mingi clean his bed after the snacks you both had.

"Bring out your stuff and I'll help you load them in the truck then we'll go to the studio and set everything there" Mingi said as he went to go turn on the truck outside.

You got everything outside and they were in the truck now, you just needed one more bag then you'll never see Yunho again. You went back to the room that you and Yunho shared and saw the restroom light on and that's when he came out looking at you. Your eyes started to get watery while making eye contact with the boy who was making you feel guilty of this relationship. You tried going to the closet to get the last bag, but that's when he blocked your way from entering.

"Why didn't you tell me you felt like that Y/N?" He said looking at you while you looked down at your feet.

"B-because um," You didn't know how to throw out those words you wanted to tell him, so he waited for you to tell him.

"Because why Y/N, tell me" His tone, he sounded concerned now, Great, that's fucking great Jeong Yunho.

"Because you started pushing me away Jeong Yunho, you changed into a different, into a complete different person. I was here wondering what the fuck did I do wrong to make you like this, you didn't give a damn anymore seeing me upset, sad, or angry or even when I wasn't fucking here in this goddamn house. You started being cold towards me," You looked at him, almost screaming at him while the tears were threatening to get out your eyes.

"You aren't the same Jeong Yunho I used to know, you're someone completely different now and oh the stuff I would do to bring you back, but I don't think that's possible anymore. It seems like it's too late now" A tear slipped away from your eyes and he wiped it away, feeling something warm from his hands.

"Y/N I know apologizing won't solve everything, but I'll still apologize because I still love you, it's just that I know my mistakes and right now i'm trying to solve them by myse-"

"That's bullshit Jeong Yunho, you have me and Mingi or the rest of the members, don't fucking give us the cold back of yours, someday you'll have to rely on us because you sometimes can't do shit in your own," You cut him off, startling both Yunho and Mingi who was by the door waiting for you.

"For now, give me time to be alone because I kept on overthinking and this time I would like help, but i would like it if Mingi helped me out. Just give me a few months and I'll tell you if I'm ready to back come with you" You looked at him, giving him a confident look that would perhaps tell him to back off since you made up your mind. That's when he pulled you closer to him, embracing your warmth and your small figure, you could hear he softly sob and whispering "don't go please". You wrapped your arms around him, comforting him telling him that it'll be alright and that you'll perhaps come back to him and fix things with him.

But maybe you should've stayed that night with him, because what happened next was truly heartbreaking, not only to you, but to the rest of the members and to his family as well.
