!!!ALL CHARACTERS ARE MADE UP, BUT THE STORY ITSELF IS INSPIRED BY A REAL EXPERIENCE!!!
A good friend is like a star, you don't always see them, but you simply know that they're there, by your side. But stars do sometimes disappear, they turn into something beautiful and magical, unlike anything you've ever seen, into a nebula, an enchanting decoration, created by the Universe itself.
Much like them, we need to learn that if we really love someone, we must know when to let them go and that we shall treasure all memories we've created with them, the memories that shaped us into who we are today.
This is the lesson I've learned from an almost decade-long friendship with a girl who's about one year older than me.
She has auburn hair, which always reminds me of the color of roses, and lively, green eyes. Her face is quite round and fair and her nose is sprinkled with orange freckles. This girl is pretty short, but it does not matter, for, with her fierce and decisive attitude, she can reach all her goals and get whatever she pleases.
Many would say that she's moody and ruthless, but all that is a facade to a kind, and joyful soul who would do anything to help and protect her friends. The thing I love most about her is her humor, as her jokes always manage to cheer me up.
Lately, we don't meet up as much, which I consider a good thing, since we don't have many things in common, not anymore, at least. I've learned from her a lot of things, and she always stayed by my side when I needed her most and she still does that. She never judged me for who I truly am and I never had to wear a facade around her. So yes, she was my star, but now she's turned into a nebula.
