Chapter 9

At Eret's Castle, Dusk

Ayuna's P. O. V.

Well, we made it. I am never doing that again.  dad and I were up half the night taking care of Tubbo, and dang he is out of it.
"Eret!" Techno called, "Ranboo said you need Ayuna!"
"Ah hello!" came Eret's reply as he ran towards where we were, "I was expecting you to say no."
"Phil told him to," I but in. "Not surprised, but come in so we can get started," Eret said, "Now I will say that this isn't actually my idea but Ranboo wouldn't have passed the message if I told the truth." That stopped dad in his tracks. I'll admit I was curious, "Who's idea is it then?"  "Doesn't matter, Eret lied and we're leaving," Dad attempted to leave. "Techno wait!" Eret called, "The rest was true and besides, I was about to explain why I had to lie!" "Come on dad we can at least hear them out, right?" I hoped, "We're doing this for Tommy remember?" Dad sighed, "Fine, show me to this person and then you have five minutes."
The five minutes weren't needed. Upon entering the room the other person was in we both immediately understood why Ranboo would refuse if they knew.

The person that sent for them was Dream.

Third Person P. O. V.

"Welcome Ayuna, Techno," Dream greeted, "I'm sure you have questions, and I'm willing to answer them if you stick with the project and agree to not tell anyone I'm here, ok?" Techno answered for both, "Fine, but you answer our questions first." "I can agree to that," Dream decided, "What would you like to know first?"
Ayuna started, "How and when did you get out of prison?" Dream internationally punched himself because he should have set parameters on the questions, "I'll tell you the abridged version. Tommy decided to visit me hoping to get some closure, and the prison had a security alert and locked Tommy in the main cell with me. Then, we worked together to break out under the condition I left the area, at least for a bit, and that there would be a way for Tommy to look not involved. Now, we had a way to accomplish this but someone messed with my potion which combined with Sam chasing us caused this." The other three in the room were shocked. They had no idea Sam could be so stupid. That and the fact someone messed with a potion that was presumably in an enderchest.
"Do you know who messed with the potion?" Techno asked. "I have some ideas," Dream replied.

And so they talked for the rest of the evening and agreed to start working tomorrow.

In the Egg's Lair Thing

Karl's P. O. V.

This idiot, he made me help him contact a deity and then doesn't even know what for. "Do you even know what you're doing?" I had to ask.
"Yes, we both know Eret isn't good enough at potions to pull something like this off," the demon hybrid replied, "so I went to investigate and low and behold he had Dream in his castle." Seriously, this guy sees Dream and decides to help without even knowing how? "What does a deity have to do with helping Dream cure Tommy? And how does curing Tommy help you?" My head is about to explode. "Simple, complex potions like these normally use hard to get items, and there is no way over half the people in this server are on good terms with a deity. Also, Tommy probably knows who threw the potion at him, which helps me." Bad explained. There is no way this will work. "Whatever, I'm taking a nap. Let me know when the deity gets here." I didn't have the heart to tell him.

Midnight

I was shaken awake by Bad who seems frantic. "Karl get up, she's here."
