Chapter 2 - Complete Nightmares

Elliot's POV

This was a completely new world, for sure, no doubt about it.

I didn'r recognize the roads, signs, or any of the houses there, in fact, none of them really seemed to be mine.

Most of them were covered in the corruption anyways.

I go off and begin to walk. Alone. With no one else.

If you don't remember, I was trying to save Austin from getting corrupted, he somehow was ended up in a black muck wave of it.

I tried to save him but....

I couldn't.

I let him down.

I let myself down.

I'm so stupid to ever think I could be a hero...

I look down and see that something had transported with me through the whole dream I had- if you also don't remember, I had a whole dreamscape where I saw a whole bunch of other worlds and fandoms!

It was crazy!

I picked up the thing and looked at it, it was a picture frame, but the glass was broken and shards of glass fell out of it as I picked it up.

I look at the picture to see what it was...

It was a picture of me and Austin...when we were kids...

The memories flowed back into my head.

The more I thought about it.

The more it hurt.

I began to cry again, why am I such a crybaby dammit!?

You need to move on! You can't stay here forever!

I put the picture frame in my back pocket for safekeeping, I then continue on with my journey.

I walk through all the abandoned houses, all of them swarmed with corruption all over the streets. I also pass some caves and such, which looked pretty cool, but didn't dare to go inside there.

I walk forward and reach out of the neighborhood already, I see a bakery nearby, in which, you get the point, was already corrupted.

Damn- I wish it wasn't- I'm craving a donut.

Or a creampuff.

I ignore the delicious thoughts, as it was not the time, and continued walking, I go up to a school and read the name.

"Oakleaf Redwood High School..." I read out.

Sounds like a high school like mine.

I go near it and see a bunch of vines in the front door, and well- a bunch of the black muck, I was against the whole corruption, it took away all my friends and family...

And my best friend..Austin.

I put my hands on the door to try and loosen it up, it somehow opened just fine! Although, it was a bit rusty, how many days has it been here!?

I walk inside of the school, my footsteps echoing throughout the entire hallway. Ever single classroom and wall and a bucket of black corruption splattered all over them, it was horrible...

I wonder whoever lived in this universe, they must've been terrified if they were here...

Well, they're now long dead.

I keep checking throughout all the classrooms and staff rooms, looking for anything.

Nothing.

Honestly, what did I expect other than black muck, it's just all over the place, rubbing in my face that they've consumed everyone I've ever cared about.
