Shoutout to gatonecio. I didn't mean to offend anyone, sorry I didn't ask for permission before using your art for the cover. I changed it over to a screenshot. Anyways, just wanted to add that that drawing was really good, and again, I didn't mean to offend anyone, especially your friend.

I had just moved to the town named Toronto. It was very different from where I was from. Florida was nice, especially the large property I lived on. It was county owned and my parents, them being law enforcement, were basically the guards. My dad worked a lot. Out on the roads, it stressed me a bit. I was always scared something would happen to him. But I knew he wouldn't get hurt. Things in Toronto were pretty peaceful, it was nice and calming. But it's still a city!

I hadn't really gotten out of the house yet, even though we didn't have much unpacking. The first time I had really gotten out of the house was when my brother, surprisingly, made me go to some random concert. As soon as the band came out and into their performance some giant firey coated thing broke in calling out the name "Mei-Mei". I quickly ran out of the place and into a tunnel like passage leading into the SkyDome. As soon as I realized one of the other kids here was seemingly the daughter of the giant animal I stayed and watched. I almost wanted to run out, get popcorn, and come back. All of a sudden the girl turned into a red panda a couple feet taller than me. I watched as everyone started.. singing?

I thought about the situation. Soon enough the mom was knocked out and everyone kept singing. Fans piled into the SkyDome and watched the stupid boyband continue their concert. I thought harder. Would it help if I sang too? I started singing something my older brother and me used to sing together. It was important, and very special to me. After everything was over I went back home, only being able to think about the family of red pandas. When I opened the door my older brother, Alfonso, started unpacking Chinese food. "Sunny, come get some food already." he said in a monotone voice. "Can I take it upstairs?" I asked, and he just nodded. "Thanks" "M-kay"

We had very short conversations, especially after he became a teenager. After he turned eight-teen he invited me to move with him to Toronto. It was really surprising, but my parents were fine with it so I moved to Canada, with my brother... wow. I took my dinner upstairs and into my bedroom. It looked delicious- the food anyways. My room was still a bit messy. It was nice living in a real house. And not only that, but it was a two-story! I sat on my bed and started drawing a red panda. When I was done I wrote the words 'Canada Panada' underneath. I thought it was pretty funny.

Since school was already over I just waited inside the house for summer to be over. All I wanted was Halloween to come. I didn't really care about Christmas. I always thought any holiday other than Halloween sucked. Christmas either gets your hopes up for nothing, gives you something you didn't even want, or spoils you. Thanksgiving is celebrating the death, really murder, of hundreds of innocent people, besides the fact that I'm a picky eater and HATE everything at the table on that night. Easter makes kids fight over candy for what reason exactly? But Halloween is perfect. It's when people start getting along, you can wear and be whoever or whatever you want! Plus, you and your besties can match! And no-one will judge you for what you wear! Also, FREE CANDY!!! But the thing I was waiting for the most was new friends. I wanted to wait until school started to start making them. And this year, I wouldn't be homeschooled, so I would be with them 60/60/24/7/4/12/Eternity. I say that for 60 seconds a minute, 60 minutes an hour, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 4 weeks a month, 12 months a year, and every year for the rest of eternity.

It finally came to my first day of school. I was really excited, but also nervous. Will they make fun of me for living with my brother? Will I they make fun of my hobbies? Will I be able to make any friends? Will anyone like me back if I start liking them? Will they make fun of me for who I like or for whoever likes me? Will they make fun of me for my friends? Will they make fun of me for being North American? With all these questions playing in my head on repeat I didn't even notice Alfonso calling me from downstairs. I finally snapped out of it and ran down. "Your bus should be here soon. You ready?" he asked plainly. "Yeah, let me get my flip phone." I said, turning back towards the stairs. Before I could walk up there Alfonso stopped me and held up my F.P.. "Already covered." he said smirking. 'Did he look through it?' I wondered. 'Maybe he changed something on it, or saw old messages from me and my friends from Florida?' I asked myself.

It seemed as soon as he handed me the phone the bus was outside. I ran out quickly. "Love you, bye!" I shouted, waving while running backwards. He waved a little then closed the door without saying anything. I got onto the bus and everyone started covering the seats next to them, basically saying they didn't want me there, or anywhere. Some kid in the back raised his arm and shouted "Back here!". I quickly speed-walked to the back. "Tyler," he said, putting out his hand for me to shake. "Sunny, Sunny Hollows." I said, still having both hands in my lap. "Not a shaker?" he said laughingly. "Yeah. It always feels weird and uncomfortable." I said giggling back. "Well, Tyler Nguyen-Baker if we're adding last names." he said, trying not to put his hand back out. "So, where ya from?" he asked me. "Florida." he looked at me confused. "It's in lower North America." I said as he straightened out his face.

I noticed the scratches on his left cheek. "Woah, what are those from?" I asked smiling while scooting closer. He laughed nervously. "A friend of mine. I got them a bit angry and they hurt me on accident." he answered as I grew angry at the unknown friend. "Everything's fine though. Besides, it was an accident!" he said, noticing my frustrated expression. I moved on and went into my bag looking for my sketchbook. When I got it out he asked if he could see what I had drawn, in which I was fine with. When we got to the red panda drawing he looked nervous, even more so when he read the name I gave the drawing. "Canada Panada?" he asked, sweating a little. "Yeah, I don't know if you went to that concert from earlier this summer, but it was gnarly!" I said enthusiastically. He laughed nervously right before we pulled up to the school.

When we walked into the school he lead me over to four girls. They all turned to look at us as they smiled widely. "A NEW GIRL!" a short girl with partially bleached, long hair screamed. A girl with short, curly brown hair nodded while crossing her arms. "I'm Meilin Lee! This is Miriam." the girl with even shorter fiery red hair said while pointing to a girl with a green beanie and orange-brown braids. "Hey!" Miriam said while waving. "I'M ABBY!" the short girl screamed even louder. The last girl shook her head before looking back up at Meilin. "That's Priya." Meilin said.

Priya gave out a monotone "Yo" before putting away a book named 'Nightfall'. "So that's where I recognize you from!" I said while turning to Tyler. "Huh?" he said completely confused. "That concert for the stupid boy-band! You and all those other girls were singing and made all the red pandas float." I answered as they all gasped, Priya monotonal of course. "They're not stupid!" Abby yelled at me before yelling at me in Korean. "I- sorry.. I just-" I stuttered while panicking. 'My first day and I'm already leading to a panic or anxiety attack!?' I thought to myself. Abby quickly stopped and realized what was happening. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.." Abby stuttered, clueless on what to do. Tyler hugged me tightly. "It's okay. Shh, you're okay Sunny. It'll be alright." he told me while grazing my hair and back. I breathed deeply as I calmed down. I heard the bell ring and Tyler quickly led me to my classes.

After the school day ended I called Alfonso to see if I could stay after school. He said he didn't care so I stayed and practiced basketball with Tyler. It had been a while since I had last played basketball so I lost harshly. Afterwards Tyler started walking me home, but when we arrived Alfonso wasn't home. We checked the whole house and even tried to call him, but no answer. I started wigging out again and Tyler tried calming me down but I couldn't. All of a sudden my phone started ringing. It was Alfonso.

Tyler took the phone from me and answered it. "WHERE ARE YOU!?" he shouted into the phone. "T-Tyler!" I tried yelling at him for yelling at my brother but that was a fail. "She comes back home and you're missing. Then she calls you and no answer. AND THEN- you call her back!? Explain yourself!" Tyler complained. "First of all, shut the fuck up. Second of all, who the hell are you? Third of all, why are you in my house? And fourth of all, I'm 18, and you must be, what, 12?" Alfonso asked. "First of all, I'm Tyler, Sunny's friend from school. Second of all, because she's new here so I walked her home and then I helped look for you throughout the house. And third of all, I'm 14 turning 15 soon." Tyler answered.

Alfonso sighed and told Tyler to give me the phone. "I'm at the neighbors house. Y'know the temple we visited the other day?" Alfonso asked me. "Yeah?" I answered. "Well, ask Tyler to bring you there, we were invited to dinner there but you wanted to stay so I let you." he explained to me. I grew angry with the fact that he didn't tell me, but I stayed calm on the outside. "Okay, we'll be there in a minute." I told him before hanging up. I explained everything about me and Alfonso to Tyler before he walked me there. Once we arrived I realized that it was Mei's family. When I got home I finished coloring the 'Canada Panada' and then went to sleep.
