Natsu's rage

Chapter 10

Natsu's POV
I was sitting watching my two children and Luce sleeping peacefully when I heard a commotion downstairs. 'Probably just the guild getting into another fight' I thought. Then I heard a louder explosion I saw Lucy set up from her bed and grab at her head.

"Lucy take the kids and I'm going to go check downstairs for a second." I quickly said as I handed her the kids. "I also want you three to go hide somewhere. Do you think you can someone Loke or he can force his gate open?" I asked as I handed her Layla and Igneel. The twins started to shift in there sleep and tense up they were getting hungry. Luce summoned Loke and he got them out of the guild.

I heard more commotion going on downstairs and several spells could be heard. I bolted out the door and down the steps to see an entire army in the guild hall attacking everyone. I looked around and to my surprise I didn't see many soldiers. They weren't very strong and we ended up taking them out rather quickly.

I noticed that we took them out to easy.

I started to panic and quickly raced out of the guild with several people calling my name. I didn't pay any attention as I followed Luce's scent. I ended up in the forest outside of Magnolia and saw no sign of them anywhere. At this point I was terrified of what was going on because no matter how hard I smelled I couldn't catch Lucy or the twins scent. But I did smell blood and Loke.

I raced toward the smell and found Loke lying in the ground and holding his stomach. "LOKE!!" I screamed coming up next to him. He opened his eye about halfway and gritted his teeth. "Natsu you have to find Lucy.. I wasn't... strong enough to....stop him." He said holding onto my arm tightly. "Loke what happened who am I trying to stop!?!?!" I asked frantically. "Zeref he found them. He sent the mock army to distract you." He said taking a shaky breathe. "Loke go back to the spirit world and tell them what's going on. I will find him and when I do I will kill him...." I said menacingly. "Well that's no way to talk about your big brother.." I heard from behind me.

I quickly turned around and saw Zeref holding Lucy by her hair. I didn't notice but there were two machines behind him and I could hear my babies crying from one of them. "Nat-su.." Lucy whimpered. She had a big bruise on her face and a giant gash on her head. "DON'T PLEASE DON'T HURT THEM!!!!" I begged my brother. He just smirked and I knew something bad was about to happen. "My dear sweet little brother I'll let you choose who gets to die and you can take the other. I only need the magic of one celestial wizard but the twins would be nice. Hahahaha." He laughed evilly as he threw Lucy into the other machine.

The kids started to cry louder. I didn't know what to do my head was spinning and my mind was blank. How do I choose between my fiancé the love of my life or our children who hadn't got to enjoy their life yet. I panicked and looked to Luce who was staring at me with tears dripping down her face. "Nat-su you know what to do you can do it.. let me go and get the twins out of here." She said with a shaky voice. No I'm not going to let anyone die I can't. I grabbed my head and started to cry.

"Lucy I can't choose...." I said she looked at me again and smiled with tears poring down her cheeks. "I know it's hard but I will always be watching over you guys. I love you three so much and I would gladly sacrifice myself for you all to live on.... I had a good life and I'll be ok because I'll be with my mom and dad again..." she sobbed out. No no no no no I wouldn't let this happen no not when I finally have my family back. "NO I WON'T LET YOU KILL ANYONE!!!" I yelled as I launched myself toward Zeref. He laughed and flipped a switch on the machine as I watched Lucy's tube light up and heard her scream. I punched him hard across the face and shut off the machine as fast as I could.

I saw Luce slump over and not move. No no no no no I couldn't have been to late. This couldn't be happening. I couldn't have been to late. No no no no no no. I kept thinking until it went completely dark.
