Summary: "I'm the watcher, tasked to watch over Trolberg against all that threatens it. Like my grandfather did, and his ancestors before me." The boy sat on top of a cliff underneath the moonlit sky. The girl spoke, "That's good and all but don't you ever get lonely, watching from afar?" The boy chuckled "No, no I don't. After all this is my destiny,". The girl didn't believe that.

Part 1 – Drive Back

A businessman ran through the streets, in a haphazardly strewn suit. Suitcase, on one hand, the other waving as he yells for the bus, that was slowly departing its stop. Thankfully it did, sighing in relief and apologizing for the holdup. He soon joins the rest of his business suit-clad brethren as they check their devices.

This situation doesn't just apply to the entrepreneurs. But also to school kids who missed the chance to rise early. Therefore, suffering through sprinting to school. In an effort to get to class before the first bell.

While farmers and fishermen, don't get to worry. Both are already set up in their stalls at the marketplace, proudly advertising their goods to people buying their food for the day. Sometimes he wonders how they managed to rise up so early.

It was always a comedic yet charming sight to behold the waking morning rush atop a cliff. From the many sunrises he witnessed in the past week, he's been the Watcher. It never gets old.

This is true in form of the opposite as he now sat on a moving car, an hour passed already. Pondering how it went from the bustling morning to the now quiet and serene, for the encroaching afternoon.

He rode in a safety patrol cruiser, driven by a brunette woman named Julie, drove through the now fairly empty streets of Trolberg. Breezing by without much of a step on the breaks. It was a sunny and fair day in Trolberg, with not many clouds or idle weather spirits visiting the skies.

"It's a nice day out innit?" Heimdall wants to point out. Cheek rested over his arm, his pupilless eyes gazing blankly outside. His dark brown locks swayed in the catching breeze as the sun hit his tan skin, with the scenery going buy in a passing blur.

"Hn," Julie grunted, pushing up her spectacles on her face. Eyes fixated on the road ahead.

"Still, it is rather quite chilly. The sun hasn't warmed up the ground than I hoped to," He said, shivering in exaggeration. Before wrapping his brown scarf neatly around his neck. He pops his head back inside and rolls up the car window, closing with a soft thump.

"Hn,"

"You'd think for a fine day like this, I'd use it to play outside like any other kid. But nope I'm headin' straight to bed, after a long night's watch," He laughs.

"Hn,"

"I wonder what's for dinner. Maybe grandma will dish out her delicious haddock," He drools. Daydreaming at the steaming fried fish, sided with mash potato and greens.

"Dinner?" She broke the pattern of grunting in reply and raised a questioning brow his way.

He shook his droopy-eyed expression away and snorted "Silly me, suppose it's only dinner for me and breakfast for you guys." He said "Such an upsidedown life of being a watcher"

"Hn," She heard a soft thump and squeaking from the side. She caught a glance at the aftermath of him banging his head on the headrest. Deliberately, she might add. He slumps down and let out a groan.

"Ugh, you were this close to giving me a proper answer instead of a monotone grunt, Julie." He said, whines.

Sighing she glances at him. "I'm sorry if I can't entertain you right now, Heimdall. I've had a busy shift," She said, as if it offer some kind of explanation, Heimdall thought.
