After seeing the latest results, netizens think the 'Music Bank' scoring system is unfair
On March 18, many netizens gathered in an online community to discuss the scoring system for KBS's 'Music Bank.'
Many viewers and fans have been questioning the scoring system for KBS's music program from even before, but the latest music show-winning artist triggered netizens to further question the scoring system.
This is because, in the latest music show episode, UP10TION's Kim Woo Seok won the trophy with a total score of 6016, beating out Girls' Generation's Taeyeon. Many were shocked because Kim Woo Seok beat out the veteran idol with just a digital album score of 5, a Viewer Preference score of 0, and a Social Media score of 0. Kim Woo Seok gained the most score from the 'Number of Broadcast' score and the physical album sales score.
On the other hand, Taeyeon had gained a digital album score of 2576, a Viewer Preference score of 1006, a Social Media score of 18, the Number of Broadcasts score of 13, and the physical album sales score of 572.
Therefore many netizens are now more fervently wondering how the scoring is counted and what the 'Number of broadcasts' score mounts to.
Netizens commented, "A digital album score of 5?" "Congrats to Kim Woo Seok," "The broadcast score is almost 5,000, that's crazy," "How did he get to number 1?" "Heol, I've never seen this before," "The scoring is definitely unfair," "They need to get rid of that number of broadcasts scoring, what is that anyway?" "So Taeyeon never got number 1?" "This is unfair," "How is the scoring for this music show done?" "He got 0 scores for the viewer preference score," "How did this happen?" and "I think the artist is shocked too, lol."
