On March 17, Maroo Entertainment stated, "We're informing you Ghost9 member Lee Kang Sung has tested positive for COVID-19. Lee Kang Sung has been experiencing cold symptoms since last night, so he took a self-testing kit and received positive results. Afterwards, he visited a hospital where he took a rapid antigen test and was diagnosed with COVID-19."
The label continued, "Lee Kang Sung wrapped up 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and he only had mild cold symptoms. According to the disease control authorities' guidelines, he'll temporarily halt activities and focus on recovering apart from the members."
